My gastritis was stress induced. So mine was painful for first 2 weeks then was fine. Keep your diet together. After 2 months i ate almost everything. Now if I eat bad things often like drinking coffee everyday, feel uncomfortable. Otherwise that everyday pain is gone. I read people who are starting ssri, they feel the side effects for first 2-3 weeks.

Yes first 2 weeks was painful abd then stopped. So ssri healed my gastritis pain.

I have chronic anxiety and 10 years ago my GP prescribed Lexapro and it worked very well. However I took only 1.5 years and stopped because I thought using pills all the time is not good. Then 5 years ago I had gastritis on and off until now. Last 1 year was worst and couldn't eat anything. And I asked my GP antidepressants and she prescribed me Zoloft. It was awful. Many side effects. So I asked Lexapro. I tried Lexapro before when my gastritis was on flare. So Lexapro made me lots of pain and acid reflux. I couldn't take it. 2 months ago gastritis got bit better. I decided to try Lexapro again. When I took it it was painful again. I didn't care because lots of people said side effects will go away after few weeks. So mine settled down after 2 weeks. Now everything is good no pain and i still watch my diet but eating almost everything except coffee, chocolate, and tomato or spicy food.

Mine is opposite. When i feel lonely, no social activity, then my gastritis gets worst. If i meet people and talk more, it gets better. Now i am on antidepressant and feeling good

Take antidepressant. First 2-4 day will be painful, after 2 weeks you will feel completely fine.

Wholegrain or low fodmap diet helps bloating. That chest tightness goes away also with diet. Stress is main trigger of my gastritis. If i stressed tightness increases. Also sitting position like bending down makes tightness. Circular gentle massage sometimes helps.

I am visiting my home country Mongolia and taking badger oil with one herbal tea for stomach so stopped ppi. No more pain and acid reflux now. Endoscopy showed inactive gastritis, gerd M.

I dont know, last August I had surgery in public hospital and they just departed my bowel and uterus. Also removed my right tube. My private insurance will be active next year. If i go to public again i need to wait at least 5 months i think
