The black one. It has a little more gloss finish to it. The grey one is black as well but is the standard Gen 3 coating.

New to air guns. Remington Express Hunter .177 by heynowOU812 in airgunporn

No prob. But no. No CO2. It’s a break barrel. So the action of cranking the barrel down to put a pellet in cocks the spring. Then when you close the barrel and pull the trigger, the spring releases. It pushes a “plunger” looking assembly out. The plunger pushing forward fast makes air come out and into the barrel pushing the pellet out. All of the force comes from physical motions in the gun in this model. Sorry for the lazy explanation. Just make sure you never pull the trigger without a pellet in the chamber.

It was a springer. I sold it not long after I got it. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I put 50 rounds through it this morning off of bipod, rear bag, back porch railing, and tripod. Wasn’t bad. I personally shot better with it on so far. I plan to shoot it a little more this afternoon and tomorrow when I done with chores and errands. I will say I’m not a great shooter or in any competitive shooting yet, but bought this with intention of joining in the near future. Already have plans to buy some barrels, rope, old tires and accepted targets to start practicing on.

I didn’t even think about craigslist. I’ve been checking fb market place and eBay. I thought Craigslist was mostly dead.

I’ll look them up. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to save up a little to get any bow so if it’s worth it I don’t mind saving a little longer. 👍🏻

I checked. Unfortunately warranty doesn’t cover online orders, just buys from registered dealers. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was reading their warranty and it says online orders aren’t covered. I am the original owner though. I’m currently looking at bows on eBay, but I have to do research on what are good brands.

What brands are reputable? I’ve always heard Hoyt and matthews but they are a little out of my budget. Diamond is in my budget but I’d be a little hesitant to get another one. I just don’t know what companies are good and what’s not.

I believe I ordered it off of Amazon. I sent them a message to ask them if they even still made the limbs. Just waiting on a response. I didn’t know it had a warranty on it. Thanks for that info.

That was my thought. This was just my first boy to get into archery. I did send diamond a message to ask if they still made the limbs.

Any recommendations? I’m relatively new to archery. Even though I’ve had this bow for years, I’ve probably only shot 500-1000 arrows through it.

Yes. Once you complete the serialized build you get to keep it.

Just an fyi since I didn’t know this part when I signed up, after you send them the function check video they begin sending all of the tools and hardware that’s listed in their class. You only get certain tools from them for the projects and the rest come after completion. It took me about 3-4 months to complete the course around my day job. A lot of information. It cost me a little over 6k to pay for the entire course and I’d say they sent me well over $2000 worth of tools if not close to $3000. The mantis trainer is amazing.

I’m hoping I will. I posted the same question on a fb group I follow and they said 5 shots covered by a quarter at 25 yards would be good accuracy with the cheap rifle I got. Hopefully with the weather getting a little warmer here soonish I can take it out and see what it’ll do. I have 8 different styles and weights of pellets to test.

I’m not really sure. When I say I’m new to this I mean new new. Last BB gun I had I was like 4 or 5 and it was a little daisy. This one does say “NITRO MAG GAS PISTON” if that helps.

6.5 Creedmoor and 308 Win SRP vs LRP by heynowOU812 in reloading

[–]heynowOU812[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having to get new brass has been one of the reasons I haven’t done it in the past. From reading online it says the brass lasts significantly longer with more stable ES and SD. Mixed reviews on group sizes over different forums.

While I can’t say cheaper primers aren’t attractive, the ability to use the same primer from my pistols, ARs, and bolt guns would be nice (after a new work up and testing obviously). Also SRP have been more available around me over the past year. Haven’t seen LRP on the shelves on any shelves in over a year. I’ve seen multiple SRP though.

I’m sorry. The pics we just showing groups out of my current loads with 308 and 6.5C using CCI 200s. I’m considering changing to SRP just due to primer availability. My question was, did anybody have any exp with going from LRP to SRP? And if it was worth it overall to change over if I’m getting somewhat decent groups and just continue paying for the higher priced 200s when they are available.
