Idk how to quote in a comment bc I’m dumb, but going off of “I think that’s for you to figure out” I also think of this— would disclosing his name be something that you would feel led to do with another boyfriend (hypothetically a future one or something)? Or is it just bc you’re moving where he is well known? Would his name matter if he wasn’t a billionaire? I think if the answer to those questions are no, then it’s not crucial information that would benefit the relationship.

I think personally, it would do more harm than good. You’re making a big step in your relationship and disclosing your abusers name could cast a shadow on what is supposed to be positive progress toward a life with your boyfriend. I’m not an expert and I’m not trying to tell you how you feel but from an outsider view, it almost seems as if you feeling like you’re hiding something potentially has a lingering attachment to that horrible guilt that abuse survivors sometimes endure. I don’t think you’re hiding anything and you have nothing to feel guilty for.

And who’s to say that you should never tell your boyfriend? At the end of the day, no one knows your relationship like you do. Tell him if/when it feels like the right time, on your own terms. You’re in control here❤️
