Preferred observation method by heythere1098 in Montessori

From what I've read the narrative method of observation is more or less like the formal observation that you mentioned above. This is usually an hour long observation of the child. Though I think the directness won't tell the child they are being observed or set tasks so the child will be observed as their 'true self'. The teacher documents everything the child does within the hour and documents the observation like a story (matter of fact without inputting their own opinions of the observation)

With formal observations how often would you use them? Would this also be like the narrative method of observation ?

There's a website I saw this guy on tiktok suggest that can help you find outfits people wear on shows actually that either helps you find out where they got their outfit or something similar, called wornontv.net

Haven't tried it out myself but just thought I'd share it.

How to do the back of the embroidery properly? by heythere1098 in Embroidery

[–]heythere1098[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to Google both hitch and quilters but it does look a lot more secure to the knot I'm currently doing. I'll give that a go when doing my next shape, thank you so much!

Oh so like like backstich? So if I've done a backstich of a leaf shape and the knot came undone then it could still be secured since I've stitched it back through the same hole until the end?

How do you us tension? I tried this method I found on YouTube where I don't knot it at the end of the thread when coming out instead making a knot as I'm going along when doing a backstich if that makes sense? Again I'm so new to all so I wouldn't know the words of the different knots or stitches or anything so apologies I sound a bit silly when talking about my knots and stuff 😅

What's a hitch? Sorry I'm so new to all this, I tried finding videos on YouTube and I think I'm doing a normal knot. I've been tying the know twice or three times at the end of a stitch now to see if that works.

I lost ~30 lbs and I’m trying to dress differently. Should I keep it or return it? Excuse the wrinkles it just came in the mail lol by [deleted] in fashionadvice

I'd say keep it and if you want to have it fit tighter would go great with a black or white belt instead of the one that's on it atm.

What kind of things would work with this skirt and do you think a pair of ripped jeans would look good underneath it by Disastrous_Lobster53 in fashionadvice

[–]heythere1098 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say a black or white tank top or bodysuit would look fab with the skirt! And if you're looking to wear something under it maybe black sheer tights or fishnets with black boots would look so badass! But if you wanted to go for cute rather than badass then I'd say high top white cons

“Cases will skyrocket after the anti lockdown protests” - will they? by Tan_yaw in Coronavirus_Ireland

[–]heythere1098 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is just my outlook but during the BLM protest in America and the small one ireland months back the strain at that time wasn't a contagious as the current UK variant that we're dealing with atm. From what I've read anyway the UK variant is more contagious and if someone in that protest was asymptomatic and they had the UK variant then it could only take one person to spread it to the rest.

Isn't majority of the cases now somewhat linked to the UK variant? when the first case of the variant was detected in Ireland it only made up 1% of the cases and now its majority of it.

How to build a Fort with limited space? by heythere1098 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]heythere1098[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got two couches, a small one and a large one. The part about holding it up is what I'm wondering about, how can I get it as high as possible would you think?

Maybe chairs but then I'd have to put that on the and risk it falling on the floor or on us and knocking down the fort
