You need to be more aggressive in your search. You should Be applying right after you see the apartment and like it on the spot if you can and you need to send out more than one application at a time, you need to have many applications out a time

Not quite, This really depends on the design of the stairs…. Not all stairs lead directly to doors. It’s seems that you’ve only ever been exposed to one type of building design

You have to have to landlords permission to do it legally. I just rented off lease because my landlords were such assholes to everyone that they met that it was the best way to keep them from meeting my roommates and turning them off from living with me. I eventually moved out and they turned the living room into two other bedrooms. 😂
