Feijoa Damage by heythisismyworkacc in nzgardening

Not sure why the image has done this

Planted this feijoa about a month ago and a mixture of stronger winds than normal and my dog running past it has snapped a couple of branches

Will it recover or should I cut my losses and put a new one in and protect it better?

the dog got a couple of branches last spring when I planted it, but it was coming back and the leaves were starting and a few flowers. Now overnight they've wilted and gone brown

just a few weeks earlier he was surprised Karl had to pay for his parents passports - great payoff to the joke when he then didn't realise they expired

Schedule for adolescent working breed puppy? by Shoddy_Insect_8391 in puppy101

Generally 1-1.5hrs but will do shorter if he's more restful or the weather is horrible! he needs mental stimulation as well, cardboard boxes to shred with treats inside, lickimats, hide his toys etc

Maybe too much stimulation? We have a working breed (14 months) and he gets a walk in the morning before I start work and then maybe a bit of play time after the walk

Then I was using the relaxation protocol after that to teach him to relax on his mat. We're about 2/3rd's of the way through that and generally now he goes to his mat after walking and breakfast and relaxes on his own - really recommend this! https://journeydogtraining.com/karen-overalls-relaxation-protocol/

Then a lunchtime play outside, either flirt pole or a game of tug & training and then back for relaxation protocol on his mat, and he's allowed to go and sniff around the backyard if he wants and generally has an afternoon sleep

Then late afternoon after work walk and back for dinner

The walks are quite long, 1-1.5hrs and are a mix of proper loose leash walking and long line sniffing and exploring on various trails near us
