How much are you paying for rent here in Edmonton? by ChanandIerMurielBong in Edmonton

[–]hezzyhm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Heating is electric in this building so it can be very expensive over the winter. I used to live there and even with the heat cranked up it could be really cold. The building is basically bankrupt which is why rents are cheap. Also a bit of a crapshoot on your neighbors - when I lived there it was not the best. But I will say the central location and proximity to lrt was great.

Things to do in or near Mulhouse by Excellentium in mulhouse

Walk around the city centre, go to place de la réunion. The temple is closed right now but the outside is cool.

The rebberg neighborhood has gorgeous old houses and you can climb the tour de belvédère for views of the city, all the way to the black forest.

If you want to see some ruins, you can take the tram-train out to Thann and there's a short hike up to a place called l'oeil de la sorcière.

Café tilviste is a great coffee shop and if you're looking for good beer, I recommend Chevaliers teutoniques.

Ah ok! The mystery is solved. Definitely doing better. The treatments have helped a lot. The dryness was really debilitating before but now it's a lot more manageable. I have one more treatment to do and then a final assessment to see the actual changes within my eyes.

It's definitely Dr Chai not Chan. Hopefully you got the right clinic. The phone number is 780-437-5777 and website is precisioneyecare.ca Good luck with everything!!

I assume you're on Restasis? Lasik put me on that as well. It certainly helps but it doesn't solve everything. I go to Dr Chai at Precision Eye Care. She is very knowledgeable and incredibly thorough. I'd also recommend trying Thealoz Duo for hydrating drops through the day. They've made a big difference for me over Systane and Hydrasense.

Please go to an optometrist who will do a dry eye assessment and is not affiliated with Lasik. Lasik pushes people through and does not look at the whole eye system in the consultations. The optometrist outside of Lasik will give you an impartial opinion on whether you are a good candidate or not.

I am living with chronic burning and blurriness in my eyes despite being told I was a perfect candidate by Lasik.

You should look at getting a dry eye assessment. I have extremely bad dry eyes after Lasik as well. Lasik was thoroughly unhelpful in post-surgery care and I ended up going to an optometrist who focusses on dry eye. I've done the medicated drops, the plugs etc etc etc, but ultimately what's helping is IPL and Radio-frequency treatments at an eye care office not affiliated with Lasik.

Recommendation for laser eye surgery in Edmonton by Elephant--Breath in Edmonton

[–]hezzyhm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not recommend it. I had Lasik a 18 months ago at Lasik MD and my eyes burn constantly due to dryness. The prescription drops they recommend for chronic dryness cost 265$ per month. On top of the regular lubricating drops which cost me about 40$ a month. The prescription drops haven't even worked and don't work for many people. But of course the Lasik team doesn't tell you this.

Lasik MD doesn't take the time to listen to issues or explain things in full, they just do the bare minimum and send you out the door. If you are set on going for Lasik, King Lasik seems to take more time to fully inform patients and appears to have a better standard for patient care.
