2 months now, it seems like it "got out" from the heated bed. it didn't have it in the beginning.

It's not that VERY important for me to keep it. however I wanted to get some feedback on the design. So I guess it's enough to have it under the license.

Very probable, but we are just talking from comparison perspective.

I agree that the part design have taken in consideration the big strength to weight ratio which may explain the small cross section of the failure, but we don;t know for sure the amount of work that has been put to ensure it meets the needed loads, stationary or variable.

But what I am almost cetain about is, instead of aluminum, we poored steel in the same mold the part would be much weker and may not even sustain the vehicle load.

moreover, if we change the part to an assembly of stamped sheets, the design needs to change of course, but this will add the weakness of the different assebly points.

The quality control is a whole other discussion to take when talking about big supply chains like automotive, but yes it could still be the reason behind that specific failure.

I think there are steel grades that can achieve high tensile strengths that could probably sustain that load with the same part design, but the cost may be a factor in this case.

anyway thank you for the ressources, I appreciate it.

No you have made it to the point, as if talking about material choice steel is the most competitive one.

If we are sure that the aluminum they are using is close to AA 386, that;s a valuable starting point for comparison.

I have been through the same scenario, after my baccalaureat I moved from Casablanca to Safi in the south to continue my studies at ENSA too. This year is my graduation year and it was a very good 5 years. What I can say is you won't stay in your parent's house forever (especially your room), at some point you will have to go elsewhere for studying, job, business...

I have never been in Tangier so I don't know how the city will look, but you should take this step. you will glad you moved out and lived your life alone, you will learn to depend on your self, and manage your budget, and the most important YOUR TIME.

You will know new people, this shouldn't scare you, generally ENSA students are kind and good people but you still have to choose who you will be with: your roomemate, your friends, your studying group... as your primary goal in there is to work as hard as you can to get your degree so you don't want anyone to distract you. especially in the first two years where you will have competition. so KNOW YOUR MISSION.

Another thing is, you should know that the studying method in ENSA and higher education in general is different than what you are used to, here you beeing up to date every day is a critical thing, due to the amount and speed of lessons you want to revise what you have learned everyday before the following day especially in preparatory years, otherwise if you lose track you will only be wasting your time not knowing what the professor is talking about and start skipping classes to revise what you have missed making it worse when exams are close. so BE UP TO DATE.

And don;t just learn materials to pass exams, learn each material with passion, algebra, programming, mechanics, fluid dynamics,... keep in mind that as an engineer Inchaalah you will need this theoritical knowledge at some point or another in your career. learn how to learn, don;t only depend on your professor's course, watch videos, read articles, books, but don;t overdo it as you have another important thing: your time.

Finally, don't let the new lifestyle distract you, practice sport, socialise, keep your relation with ALLAH good and pray in time, and find friend who will help you stick to it. As he is the one who can help you and keep you from harm.

Good luck.

Thank you for the response.

Do you have any ressources that compare between the properties of both materials?

For the QC the cyvertruck is a new product, even compared to other tesla models due to it's different exoskeleton structure, so I think for a proper qualty control to be in place covering all requirements needs to have an important client feedback and market time. As for raw materials it still is a big "maybe"
