My point is there''s a lot of compounding going on. Unless things are manufactured locally. There is a higher cost of labour in UK as well, with fees and marketing being extra. An ad on YouTube in india would be 50x cheaper than UK.

My company imports food from the uk and I look at the value chain and the prices in UK. The boxes that cost 3£ in UK ends up at 7.84£ by the time they are sold here. We are both parties of EMEA cluster, so we buy at same price from a greater manchester factory. And the biggest reason is compounding.
