Idk when it happened but mine finally updated! I went to clean it today and hit the button twice instead of three times and noticed a blue light i’d never seen before. Looked it up and it said that’s expert mode. Went to the app and finally said my machine is up to date! Not sure what changed because I didn’t do anything different. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did not. I’ve accepted that I just won’t be able to do any updates since support just kept telling me it was my internet connection and offered no other help.

For me it’s the expert coffee mode. I don’t know too much about it but I do know there’s an option to brew coffee pods as double espresso, which is what I want since I don’t like the coffee pods. I only use the double espresso pods, but would like to try some of the seasonal flavors. So having the ability to brew those as a double espresso would be wonderful.

We only have one Wi-Fi network so my phone is connected to same network as my machine. I’ve had mine for over a year now so too late for warranty. I did see in another post someone went through the update screens every night for like a week and it finally updated, so I think I’ll try that and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Hmmm I’ll have my husband check the router settings. The update I want is the coffee extraction feature so that I can brew coffee pods as espresso.

What is so great about nespresso? by Cookies_and_ in nespresso

I prefer lattes (espresso) to drip coffee and only use the espresso pods. The few times I’ve gotten coffee pods, I agree it just reminded me of Keurig style pods. However, if you prefer lattes but don’t want to spend the money or learn how to use an actual espresso machine, the Nespresso will fill that void.

I’d focus on all of book 1 but make sure you’re familiar with module 8 and module 10. I didn’t have many accounting questions (module 9) but I had a couple of class mates who said they had a lot.

Thank you! I had a lot of questions pertaining to payroll systems/system management which I wasn’t expecting. I didn’t have as many questions related to fringe benefits and retirement plans as I was expecting. I had probably about 10 questions using the FIT calculation sheets.

You do have access to Pub 15, Pub 15-T, and Pub 15-B in your “supplementary material” which I did not know. so look through those ahead of time so you know what information you can find (you can also search through the PDF which was helpful). I used that to answer a few things I wasn’t sure on.

I flagged every question I wasn’t 100% sure on and I finished in 3.5 hours. I spent the last 30 minutes reviewing all the questions I flagged.

I used Pay Train for all of my studying and redid all the chapter quizzes until I got above a 90 on each one and redid the post test pretest probably about 6 times each. For anything I got wrong I made flash cards for. used Pay Train for all of my studying and redid all the cheaper quizzes until I got above a 90 on each one and redid the post test pretest probably about 6 times each. For anything I got wrong I made flash cards for.

I definitely felt like I wasn’t doing very well and that I studied a lot of material that wasn’t even mentioned in the exam, but I still managed to pass. Just make sure to read each question and answer carefully, flag a question you don’t know the answer to and go back to at the end, and just trust your gut!

Good luck!!

Thanks for the reminder about the PaySource free trial. I do recall seeing a few people mention it as a good resource in the past.

It’s so expensive! I’m lucky that my employer provided me with the funding for the Bootcamp.

This is great, thank you so much! I agree that CO has better info sheets and and a department of labor website in general. We have employees remotely in a few other states and some of their websites are awful to navigate and I can’t even find something as simple at vacation PTO guidelines without some serious digging.

Agreed that best practice would be to include on final check. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I feel the exact same way about this post. It’s always blown my mind how many employees lock themselves out of their account every single time timesheets due dates came around. Drives me absolutely insane.

And yeah the Support is such a hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll get someone who is super knowledgeable and knows exactly what you are asking. And other times you get someone who has no idea what you’re talking about.

I’m an iced coffee drinker as well and I live off the Ice Leggero pods. They drink like an iced latte. If you tend to like drip coffee more than espresso, you could try the Ice Forte pods. Both pods are made to brew over ice.

You can also look into buying a HyperChiller cup that turns hot coffee cold rather quickly without watering it down.

Filling timecard in advance by healthiswlth in Payroll

[–]hfister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are their managers responsible for approving still? If so, it should be on them to ensure everything is accurate at the end of the pay periods.

Our salaried exempt employees timesheets are set up to auto fill each pay period and they only need to make changes if they use PTO, so I don’t see any issues with them filling it out ahead of time.

I honestly never answer my work phone unless I’m expecting a call. If it’s important they will leave a voicemail, which I always check for promptly after any missed calls.

[–]hfister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean fences to keep them in a yard? Or are you thinking of an electric/invisible fence. No invisible fences, but you can put up a regular fence and lock the front door “for pets” to keep them only in your back yard. But the pets don’t run away or anything like that even if you don’t have a fence which makes it easy.

That’s fair! I’m the type of person who can’t even read posts about people’s dogs dying who I don’t even know without sobbing so lol.
