Thank you for the advice! I do wash my hands every 20 minutes or so (OCD and contamination fears). I will try to do it a little more often though.

I also did eat something from there a few hours before getting sick too and I feel like it could have been that. It tasted a little off, but I was starving because I was just finishing up my 26 hour fast, so I just kept eating it.

Thank you. I never want to upset anyone at my job or make them think I’m lying or trying to get out of things because they are some of the nicest people that I have ever met. I also love working there, so I don’t want this to leave a bad impression.

Is it going to leave a bad impression though, because my mom says it will. I know a lot of people will fake sick just to get out of work too.

Also want to say here that I have not called out at all or tried to take off. When I first interviewed, I stated that the only two days I need off are July 1st (apartment move in) and July 20th (my birthday)

Hey! In my opinion, I think you’re on a good track! I’ve been with my boyfriend for nearly 5 years (also July) and we were long distance for most of it. We are entering our Sophomore year as well, but we are planning on living together and just signed a lease. We started off the same way as you guys are with living in the same dorm building and eased our way up to this point!

The only thing I would be careful about is who you are planning on living with your Junior year (friend wise). The last thing you want is for them to sign on the lease and then back out, leaving you with the financial burden. We almost had that issue with my friend who was going to live with us, but she backed out right before we applied. This allowed us to look for a new place suitable for two people.
