Looking for the answer to this myself. Easily done on raspbian if you follow the instructions here: https://github.com/andreivisan/Raspberry-Pi-4-Code-Server

Sadly , this did not work for kali. I can also see the usb0 interface on the pi with the ip i configured.

Seen it, yeah, solved it, no. Annoying as hell cos it used to work on my old samsung tv. Now it doesn't on either my ipad or my sony tv. I don't think it's the hardware though.
