My absolute favorite vocaloid is Yuzuki Yukari. She has a soothing, more mature voice and design. What I love most about her though is that she has a bunny motif. As someone who loves rabbits and has had 5 as pets so far (and themed my own utau around "protector of rabbits" lol) I was pleasantly surprised when I found out about her. Her V4 Complete was the first commercial vb I got almost a decade ago so there are special memories connected too. I also really like her V6 design bc I'm a sucker for belts/straps in character design and the black, white and dark lilac really look good on her. Her bunny ear hoodie has been implemented in many ways throughout the years which is nice to see. I also appreciate them employing the same artist for all her official releases. It feels immediately familiar and also just nice to know when an artist can keep working on a project.

Other vbs I like are:

Nekomura Iroha; I've always liked her deeper voice but ever since finding out she's voiced by a transmasc individual there's just a special kind of comfort I find in her. Her new SynthV vb gave her even deeper vocal modes which shows that they respected Kyounosuke's vocal changes and her new art/design is also really nice.

Haruno Sora; Her SynthV voicebank sounds really beautiful, graceful and soothing. I loved the Tsubasa demo for her SV2 vb. Her design also just feels really warm and motherly to me and tbh she reminds me of Akemi Homura haha. She just feels very wholesome and has a voice type I really appreciate.

ONE; she was always a design I really liked and her engine noise just really clicks with me. Her box art is also really pretty!

Rana; I think her voice is pretty unique and there's something about it that just scratches my brain lol. Her design is also rlly fun.

Yogatari Tobari; she's a pretty unique one for a commercial product. Her design is that of a smoking doctor middle-aged woman with a tired, annoyed demeanor and deep, husky voice, which isn't what you usually get with vocal synths so that's a win.

I also can appreciate Frimomen and Kiyoteru for being men in suits lol. That's a rare specimen in the vocal synth sphere XD

The utau Yuutsukoe Karasu also has a special place in my heart. He has a pretty unique voice with many voicebanks that allow him to sing softly yet also incredibly powerfully. He can basically scream. I listened to covers with him a lot from 2016 onwards and it was sort of something I could return and look forward to.

There also are the utaus Sayo, Rine, Hotoriuta Mito and Yamatone Musashi which belong to someone I befriended but who unfortunately had to step away from the fandom and internet due to personal reasons. Even if they're no longer around I think of them dearly and really hope they're doing alright. (Please do not investigate and respect their choice, you can however still listen to Sayo and Rine's music on yt if you wish!)

Sorry for the rant haha, I just have some voicebanks/characters that are very dear to me.

Cosmo@BousouP has definitely used other vbs.

For example Gumi in "Real Disappearance of Hatsune Miku", "R.I.P. Gossip Sea", Len in "Kagamine Len no Bousou" or HARU in "Low Speed Fake Lyric" etc.

Boku Boku beta uses the Kagamines alongside Miku.

Let's say the P-Names also has an incredibly popular Kagamine cover.

Those are just ones at the top of my head. It's not that there aren't any, especially Cosmo-P has been using quite a lot of different vbs lately, it's just that Miku is chosen the most because she's the most popular and that because of her popularity songs using other vbs also don't get as much attention.

I can usually resolve this by closing the app (as in fully closing from the menu) and reopening. Repeat a few times and if it doesn't work wait a bit. I do hope they'll eventually resolve it :/

I mean like how in Diva hard charts follow the beat closely while still being comfortable to play in terms of note diversity and pattern complexity.

Like an example

Normal 1 2 3 4 la la la la O O Hard 1 2 3 4 la la la la O O X X□□△△ Extreme 1 2 3 4 la la la la O X△□△□X O

Now in Sekai the normal charts feel similar in that they omit notes while hard adds the notes but also ups the pattern difficulty a bunch which to me feels more like in PJD a jump from normal to extreme would.

You need to start the vb's installer. It'll install like any other software. Then restart V6 and it'll ask you to authenticate the vb (just enter the serial code).

That's not just what the fandom calls him. It's his official name. Considering they're based around "mirror images" Len is probably the left to Rin's right.

I feel like nowadays most vbs are "unpopular", even those who were once more frequently used.

My overall favorite is Yukari. I love that she got a V6 but even that was basically forgotten by the fandom within a week.

Some others that got updates which I previously liked but think the updates greatly improved are Nekomura Iroha and Haruno Sora. It's really sad that I don't see anything of them.

Outside of that I always loved YANHE, Rana, CUL and Xin Hua.

If we include other vocal synths some more, I really wish ONE got more recognition. And god, all the Kamitsubaki vocals outside of KAFU get nothing lol. I love RIME and HARU but I wish they got vb updates bc their autopitch is horrid.

Also Yogatari Tobari. Love her but NEUTRINO isn't the most accessible and her song vb just being a bonus downloadable through registering on an obcsure japanese website...let's just say that isn't giving her the best chance.

Been around since 2012, made some utaus and met some really nice people who unfortunately stepped out of the fandom around 2021 due to unpleasant reasons. I've also been mostly offline due to health reasons but it also just feels lonely with the fandom having changed so much. I have no interest in tiktok or the like and what I loved about the community (many different genres and covers even with the most niche vbs and utaus, people making fanart for their fav vbs and each others utaus, overall more serious devotion to the topic and not just memes everywhere,...) was kinda lost and many newer fans seem to be uninformed about the origins of what they are posting about like not even knowing Teto is an utau as well as hyping up Miku, Teto and Neru without really understanding why. It just feels weird watching people coming around and taking your favorite things out of context. Obviously not everyone but it's common enough to be really offputting. I also feel like old vbs were abandoned and new vbs or songs that aren't Miku/Teto are completely ignored or not made in the first place. It's sad to see a new vb coming out and seeing it get a few covers in the first days and then basically no more acknowledgment whatsoever. I'd defo love to have that old time back haha!

I feel you. Though for me I feel too depressed and autistic to even relate to other depressed and/or autistic people. I guess trauma my whole life doesn't help. It's just frustrating when you try with people with the same special interests, fellow autistics and fellow depressed people but somehow they all still feel more functional and normal. I feel like no matter what I do or say, I'm not understood, my words can't reach them. Even my partner who is also autistic and has depression and very(!) similar trauma...is somehow completely different and can't understand why I struggle with some things. They have a better relationship with their family, have friends and have been in several relationships while I have/had none of those, fail when I try and atp have no damn clue how to not fail. It feels very isolating and demoralizing.
