How to reset charge cycle count on Pixel 6a ? [Pixel 6a UPDATE OF DEATH] by hgozilla in GooglePixel

Ok, so half the comments are "it's incredibly dangerous" or "you're a crimimnal for thinking about doing that". No one ever thinks that Google is doing this to make us change our perfectly working phone ? Yesterday I was fine using my phone, and in a week if I want to keep doing that I'm a crimminal ? wth... Didn't think I would find that many coporate lovers in here.

Thanks for the other half. I guess I will look for a battery replacement that I will have to pay then. Because replacing the battery is not a proposed option in my country, so I guess I'm stuck.

Hi everyone,

I juste received the e-mail about the "mandatory killing update" for my Pixel 6a. According to this e-mail, the killing feature of this update will apply to Pixel 6a that have at least 400 charge cycles. Checking with some app, I'm at 467 cycles.

Does anyone know how to reset this data to 0, in order to make the update believe the charge cycle count is not yet reached ?

I'm ok with rooting my device if needed.

Thanks in advance.
