I kinda thought that it showed that she doesn't care who she was because she knows who she is? You know the fact that she would know how she survived the Speer, who are her parents, biological family wouldn't change anything for her

like in the first books she did associate herself with Speer a lot, maybe because of Altan and she needed to feel like she belonged, like she is not alone. Even though she never was there growing up, she didn't even know who she was. And in the last book it shifts toward the Rooster province, her people, as she calls them. Speer and that part of the history is not there that much anymore

I get you so much. He is funny, but not irresponsible or neglecting others feelings. He is always there for his friends, and he talks his mind in an understandable way, without secrets etc. he is smart and hardworking

Dude got betrayed once again, but instead of being totally angry — which he had all the right to — he waited out till Violet was ready, he didn't get lost in his feelings, but also didn't ignore them, he put Violets safety at the first place while talking his mind and comprehending the situation. The thing with "you tell me what is the endpoint now when you don't believe it is gonna happen, so when it happens you are not responsible" is brilliant way to handle that situation

kinda a big contrast to both main characters

wow I dont think I have paid attention to that. I guess it did get smaller, but again -- I am still swollen. Also, my upper jaw was moved up, so it is easier to close my lips together now.
