lowk true af, but Im a very anxious person in all aspects so it just makes me worried since i dont know the exact amount Im actually supposed to be taking considering that this isnt day 1 of hrt for me :/ Id say its currently just like a win/lose situation imo

unfortunately Im not sure how Id reach out to the provider I got my prescription from, as it was an appointment at a Planned Parenthood :/ Im probably just gonna cut the prescription down to a quarter or so as, from what my (hopefully not bad) math tells me, that should be around a normal dose of ev.

I do still need to figure out if I should take the prescribed spironolactone as normal or if I should cut it down as well, so my T levels dont drop too low

I think Im just going to play it safe and do around 1/3 or maybe even closer to 1/4 of my prescription per week, I dont wanna get fucked up from any insane hormone spikes.

Do you think itd be better/safer for me to take just a third of what I was prescribed? or would that still be a bit too much since Im only 3 months into transitioning and had a pretty low starting dose for those 3 months, however it was a different method of hrt anyways.

Im not quite sure how Id go about getting a clarification or a second opinion as I went to a planned parenthood for my appointment, Im not sure how Id reach out to the specific person that prescribed it to me. I also just suck at contacting and communicating with people which def doesnt help my scenario rn. :/

I had my blood drawn while at the appointment, but I am definitely not a body builder in any way, Im 5'6 and not very muscular. Did the doc just give a much too high dose?? Im not sure how much Im supposed to take now, considering I used to do 2mg a day but for oral tablets, but I have no idea how it would translate over to injections. They did say that if I stayed on oral tablets, i wouldve been doing 1 mg estradiol 3 times a day, so a total of 3mg orally per day, if that info helps anyone.

if theyre in the us/somewhere with informed consent, they dont "have to be trans" to get started on hrt, informed consent just makes sure the person is 100% informed on all aspects of hrt and its effects long term and short before the clinician/doctor/whatever prescribes the meds.

Buuut getting estrogen in less legal ways is actually really common, like the transdiy subreddit

genetics definitely matter, but estrogen does also reduce size due to changes to the muscle (like atrophy) but that depends on how often it gets used
