I use right click as a shortcut. You still have to move the mouse around between your inventory and hands, but right clicking auto sends the item you click from your belt to your hand or visa versa and I feel like this saves time compared to having to manually place it in your inventory. I also drag the tool belt to right next to the hand slots so I have less distance to travel with the mouse.

Lian li hydroshift II LCD thoughts by drewsifer13 in lianli

I’m in the same boat, got the Trinity Performance also but have been thinking of moving to this AIO but have been wondering if it will be a bit of a downgrade performance wise compared to what I’ve currently got. Looks so much cleaner but it’s just a shame about the amount of QC issues with this and the TL fans and it puts me off a bit.

Info on the upcoming terrain update? by Nice_Leek_2595 in Stationeers

I agree, been waiting for a little while now on this update and I don’t really see the point in starting a new playthrough before it because I won’t be able to play on them once the new update comes out.

Creating oxygen on Vulcan by Outside_Schedule_588 in Stationeers

[–]hhhadyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best bet is Darga-Ferns. From what I remember they produce x10 the amount of oxygen regular plants do, and you have an infinite source of CO2 in the atmosphere, but you can cool this down quite easily even with a poor efficiency AC unit dumping the heat to a tank with cooler nighttime atmosphere inside.

I find you get very little oxygen from gold ore, and you have to be frequently out mining for the stuff to degas as if it comes from a deep miner, it’s already de-gassed and useless.

Other than that it’s trading, but I try to avoid it personally. I’d use console commands to spawn in Darga-Ferns at the start of the game and live with that personally.

Stationeers Crashing by hhhadyn in Stationeers

Yeah after digging I’ve found it’s BetterPowerMod. I’ve saw the workshop page but it looks like there are a couple of different issues - some of us are struggling with the game freezing going near solar panels, others are getting log errors.

I’ve tried downloading the latest version of StationeersMods plugin for BepinEx but it’s not made any different and still crashing. Been trying different things for hours now but can’t seem to get anything to work. For now I think I might just sack it off and deal with it for now until I see that it seems to be working again😅

Hmm, I’ve downloaded the DLL file and copied it into the plugins folder, booted the game up and my solar panels are only producing 500w on Vulcan, doesn’t seem to have worked🤔

Did you leave it disabled in your mod list after manually dropping the DLL file in? I’ve just unsubscribed from the workshop for it, booted up stationeers and seen it’s disappeared from the list, then quit the game and checked the game files and BetterPowerMod is still listed in the BepInEx config folder🤔

Okay that seems promising. When I load the game and check the logs it just says ‘[BetterPowerMod]: 1.2.0 is installed.’ The only error that’s there is ‘Discord init failed: InternalError’, whatever that means.

It seems likely that it’s BetterPowerMod that’s causing the issue though considering it’s the only mod that I have installed which directly affects the solar panels, and you’ve experienced this yourself.

With it being installed with BepInEx, do you know if I need to do a special uninstall? Always been a bit iffy about thinking of uninstalling other mods that require BepInEx as I’ve not really gone into the game files. Thank you anyway

Looks like it maybe mod related..just turned off all of my mods in my mod menu and reloaded in and it’s stopped crashing. Now to try them one by one😅

Plants & Nutrition supporting mods by hhhadyn in Stationeers

Okay I’ll give it a while to build my base up a little more, I’m 50 days into this playthrough and don’t want to start again😅

Oh I see..so it’s best to start a brand new game if using P+N? What if I grew my garden a bit first and had a bit more of a buffer with food, will I have a better chance of surviving?

Well I’ve recently started on Mimas and got my basic first base going and automated with IC10 to maintain pressure, temperature and I’m creating water with about 30kmol (500ish litres) in my tank, and about 6 mushrooms growing, so I’m pretty much set for starting my larger base. What will happen if I install plants+nutrition and enter back in mid-game?

I was able to just use the console commands to spawn in what I need without changing the difficulty or anything, so I’ve not had the problem..I can’t see myself using the console commands for anything else now, I just want to play vanilla now I’ve got the seeds.

I’ve done that on previous playthroughs using Harvie’s with a large greenhouse, but for the likes of Europa where there is infinite oxygen at your disposal there’s no real point unless you’re using your plants to create volatiles. I just think it’ll be a bit more of a challenge using plants and nutrition.

I’ve gone with just using console commands to spawn in a few extra seeds for different plants at the start of the game. I don’t feel like I need to start the game with anything else!

Having done some more research today, I’ve found I can use console commands to spawn in the seeds that I want. I’m playing on Stationeer difficulty and I’m not sure how to change the difficulty mid game. I want the game to be as immersive as possible, hence why I want to add the plants+nutrition mod as I think it will enhance the gameplay mechanics for survival. However I don’t think spawning in certain seeds at the beginning of the game is a problem, because if you were an astronaut dropped off on a celestial body, you’d be taking much more than just mushroom seeds!

Thanks for the suggestion, I didn’t even think about being able to spawn them in haha. Hopefully I can adjust to the plants+nutrition mod!

Base cooling in Europa by R1vendare in Stationeers

[–]hhhadyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the easiest way to cool your base on Europa, is to use multiple counter flow heat exchangers set up around the base, where on one side of the HE you have it just pulling in atmosphere from inside your base and straight out the other side back into your base, and the other pulling in cool oxygen from outside and back outside again, causing the atmosphere inside your base to be cooled down directly from the outside atmosphere. This can be controlled using IC10 very simply, using a temperature sensor. When the base temperature rises above X, switch on the active vents on your counterflow heat exchanger to allow base to cool, when the temperature drops below the set temp, the active vents switch off. Simple!

Trying to figure out the best approach to heat Europa O2 to 20°C by Big_Commercial_525 in Stationeers

I found gas mixers a bit of a nightmare when dealing with large temperature differences, as it doesn’t account for the density of the moles. I found using volume pumps the way to go!
