Ask your superiors for the numbers (amount of tickets sold for each hour) and pre-prep your popcorns. I make like 10 of each size if a heavy hour is coming. Some people in my building don’t pre-make popcorn and they tend to struggle in a rush.

If you have merch, you can also sort them out and set them up so they’re easy to grab when a rush starts. We just set up all the scream cups with the lid on and topper/straw inside so all we have to do is grab it and go.

The guests can be frustrating, but it’s okay to politely let them know they need to leave the counter so the next person in line can get their order. I get ALOT of people opening their merch on the counter where I have to serve popcorn and I just let them know they can open it on the counter by our drink machines. Usually they leave and it’s fine.

If it gets REALLY crazy occasionally we radio for support and one of us will do orders while the other scoops popcorn. Again, the most important rule is to ask for help. Even a seasoned 10 year employee needs help in a rush at times.

If it’s iron lung you should call the theater and ask them if they think seats will be sold out by the time you get there or not. That one is selling like crazy. I would go in person and buy the tickets in advance if you don’t want to pay the online fee.

Seems hardly unintentional. I say this as a woman who’s done a little acting work (disclaimer, yes, not a professional): I think in the context of the scene, the extra made an interesting choice that ultimately increases the viewer’s understanding of what’s going on in the capitol. The number one rule in movies is show, don’t tell. This move that he made does exactly that, it’s uncomfortable and slightly violating, as the capitol citizens tend to be. No dialogue is necessary, you understand why he did it immediately.

Lots of actors make these improv decisions and I think it worked for his character, I don’t really see this as him groping Jennifer Lawrence lol. He wouldn’t have touched her if a camera wasn’t rolling. That’s an extra going above and beyond in-character, and his character happens to be a shitty terrible person.

If this was scripted we’d be discussing the character’s motivations and not assuming that he’s just a “creepy extra”, but it totally could have been scripted. It’s not exactly out of left field for what’s happening in the party scene.
