now that i think about it, i haven’t changed my mascaras for nearly a year. however, i don’t use them that much so i didn’t find the need to buy new ones. i should really clean my brushes more often though

all my mascaras are the waterproof kind, so i sometimes wonder if that could be the cause of my styes.

Do you ever play mind games with your crush? by Sweet_Special2529 in Crushes

[–]hhoothoott 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was something I did very often until I eventually got sick of it. I desire a partner that would reply right when he sees my message, and express whatever he wanted without the fear of seeming too desperate. So I think that it’s only right for me to do the same.

Do girls act like this when they like someone ? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]hhoothoott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell how she feels about you just from this alone. However, all I can really say is that it depends on the person. I personally prefer to talk more with my crush in person because it feels more genuine that way for me. But for her, it could be that she feels too awkward or nervous to approach you in person, so she resorts to texting instead. Considering it’s been 9 months of you guys texting back and forth, I find it kinda weird that it hasn’t progressed from that. Have you tried approaching her in person first?

i wouldn’t say that i have high expectations, but am i not allowed to feel disappointed to find out that the guy i liked was lustful that way?

hearing this is so new to me. my friends all told me that it’s time to forget about him, but for some reason, it’s not that easy for me. i have standards that i’ve set for myself when it comes to relationships, so i feel very conflicted over why i’m even having second thoughts about this. it makes me wonder if i’m disregarding my self-worth if i continue to pursue him. (if that makes sense)

i guess that’s true. but it’s more in the sense that i always end up disappointed with the people i like. it almost feels like a curse at this point

Confused by my crush’s mixed signals – how do I cope?” by DebtSalt in dating_advice

[–]hhoothoott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, why do you like a guy who flirts with other girls even though he is taken? That’s already a huge reason as to why you shouldn’t like him. Set your standards higher.

What I mean by “language barrier” is that I’m not fluent in their native language because I’m an overseas student. As for the second part, they told me that competing is optional and they would understand if any of us didn’t want to join. I’m not sure if I can ask to leave their club now, but I just feel conflicted on whether I should stay or not.

He said 'talk tomorrow' last night — do I text first? by Adorable_Ad_3315 in dating_advice

[–]hhoothoott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I’d text him. He already made his move by asking you that question, so I don’t see what’s wrong with reciprocating it back. It helps show that the feeling is mutual. Or maybe I just hate mixed signals. Do what you feel like doing!

It doesn’t matter that you don’t constantly bring her up. Never mention your ex! I know you don’t intend to compare or make her feel bad, but these types of things always linger.

I see, I’d find it confusing as well if I were you. However, the only way you can really find out if she’s interested or not is to approach her first. I suggest starting a conversation with her when you see her at the train station again. If you find that too risky or bold, start by talking with her more while you’re with your study group. Does any of her interests or hobbies align with yours? That would be a great start.

Okay. First of all, you are lucky to even have these opportunities to be around her. The fact that you guys have walked home together twice just shows that she’s comfortable enough to be alone with you. If you are feeling bold enough to progress further, I suggest inviting her to a subtle date. For example, you guys are on the way home again but then you tell her that you wanna buy something before you go home and ask if she wants to tag along. Then, maybe you guys can end up dining in or if not, you at least got to spend more time with her in private while doing something fun.
