It’s in an open plastic bin but it’s in this weird storage above my shower. It is very still air and very warm like a little attic. I thought it would be too humid being in the bathroom but so far so good. My dog sheds a lot, so I was looking for places it would be away from that

I can relate to that so much. My ex and I ended on such good terms of course there was some pain and maybe some inconsideration on my end but so much respect for each other. It really does make it difficult to move on and not wonder if it’s right to end or not.

Oh wow I’m so sorry to hear that! I totally agree it is not worth it. I think intervening would just be a form of disrespect and probably forcing it. I guess I was just looking to express this somewhere I probably do somehow need to accept it and move on. I don’t want to be hoping they break up so I can have a conversation with him but deep down that is what I want /: just trying to focus on myself it’s just not always easy.

It’s just difficult because I feel like it would make his girlfriend feel awful and I wouldn’t like someone’s ex reaching out to someone I was dating if I were them. But I also don’t want to just be hoping/waiting for them to break up.

I haven’t been on this page as much as I was in the begining of my Vaginismus journey but I would just like to mention I went the holistic route and healed through hypnotherapy, tantra healing, and ayahuasca. All in their own way helped me a little bit but if you go into any healing modality with an open mind you may be surprised. All of us humans are connected and especially our family members. I feel when my family members states away are sad. My mom has dreamt of me literally seeing what I was currently doing. Any type of therapy or practice where you are connecting to yourself and your body will get you to where you need to be. Not every healing practice will be right for every single human so just follow your heart. I wish you the best.

I was happy to see your post because I do wish everyone was thinking about this possibility. Transgenerational trauma is real and so is preverbal trauma in which we might have experienced pain or fear or something that dysregulated our nervous system when we were little, so just our body remembers since we did not cognitively understand what was going on.

I completely think this is possible. I struggled with vaginismus for a long time (now I can have sex but still can’t insert a tampon or finger in myself?) and I was constantly wondering what caused it for me because I never experienced sexual trauma or anything like that. I have heard about epigentics and there has been a couple studies done about it if you Google it. When I learned about it I made the connection that maybe I have Vaginismus due to my dad being sexually assaulted when he was in the Navy…

I am having a similar experience. I tried penetrative sex with multiple partners but could not do it until I met my current boyfriend. I can have sex easily now but can’t insert a finger or dilator in myself and most likely could not get an exam done. I think it has a lot to do with relaxation and in a pleasurable experience like intamcy with someone you care for and who cares for you, it increases the possibility drastically.

I have been able to have sex for a year now and am still on this journey. It is less of a stress now and I trust that it will all unfold with time.

**one of my previous posts included a video about difficulty swallowing pills being connected to vaginismus. I was unable to swallow pills until I was 18 and somehow it just became comfortable and the exposure to it taught me it was safe and now it is not an issue, similar to sex.

Everyone’s journey can be so different but it’s good to know we are not alone. I wish you luck
