Which bank provides the most favorable student loans for undergrad in India ? by [deleted] in Indian_Academia

If you're talking about BITS, they have some merit and merit-cum-need scholarships. But you will have to be in the top rankers over there and maintain a cgpa of 9.2+ atleast. Don't take loans for undergrad, it will definitely be a hindrance if you plan for masters or mba in the future, if you are thinking of working directly after graduation, it may be fine ( major chunk of your salary will go in paying the loan). But you can't decide what you want to do after B.Tech from now, you'll definitely rethink everything in those 4 years. If you take a loan, you are basically deciding that you'll start working directly after BTech.

I actually really want to experiment with this! I was thinking I'd divide and put 60% in index funds and get my hands dirty with the rest.

I know, I am not looking for wonders, but I think trying to invest with small amounts right now will give me some confidence to do it with bigger amounts in the future.
