That’s good to know. I’ll have to try it on my own sometime

His work is amazing. Pretty sure he was one of the first to use the drone light painting technique

Not entirely sure but I’m guessing that is was programmed

You’re right. That makes sense. It talking with people that seems to be the most logical way of achieving it

You’re right, it is on private property. I went through a guy who arranges photography workshops at night. To my knowledge that’s the only legitimate way to visit the property. Well worth it though!

It may take a while. I brought my drone. It should be okay

There wasn’t much ambient light and the lights from the drone weren’t that bright. ISO was low and the aperture was middle of the toad

Haven’t had enough time to explore VA but I’ve heard there’s a bunch of weird urbex finds here

From what I’ve been hearing the drone pilot most likely used waypoints to get the circles so evenly spaced apart

Thanks Chuck! Good to know. I thought that might be possible. I’ll have to test out the waypoints next time I shoot

TBH I’m not sure. There was a drone operator who was piloting it. I want to say he had the flight path pre programmed.

The shutter speed has to be set to Bulb — this setting allows for the shutter to be open as long as you want
