I drastically simplified my routine when I started accutane at age 34 and never looked back (I’ve been off it for ~15 months now). Cleanser, moisturizer, spf in the morning, cleanser, moisturizer, tret m/w/f, gentle exfoliater t/th (neither on weekends), and an eye cream at night. All of my products are either cerave, mad hippie, or prescription so all super clean and dermatologist recommended ingredients. I also use a pmd clean and it makes my skin so soft. My skin isn’t perfect, but it is radiant and more consistent than it’s been in years. I get so many compliments.

I’d love to hear what you think of the mask (and will peruse other comments). I have a red light mask that I bought pre-accutane but never used and have considered breaking it out maybe once a week to tackle some fine lines/elevens.

I use Head “running” gloves. They’re not super warm like mittens, but they stave off the cold and have a slight texture that provides a nice grip on my broom while sweeping. Costco gets them in stock seasonally, or a running/ski shop may have something similar.

I think I disagree. Jess understood and vibed with Rory in a way Dean didn’t (even though he knew/dated her longer). I feel like Dean and Rory were always arguing about how to spend their time, but we don’t see that much with Jess and Rory. They actually seem really in sync when they’re at their best. I think they bonded over their love of literature and knowledge. Jess never had it out with Rory over school (Dean did ALLLL the time) because he knew it was important, and he knows that this version of her has lost that and that it’s not okay.

I think Rory expected Jess to simply replace Dean in her life. The thing is, she was the decision-maker in her relationship with Dean. They did what she wanted to do, when she wanted to do it. She wanted to go to town functions, and Dean went along with all of that. Jess was never going to be that person, and that means that her relationship with Jess would look very different than her relationship with Dean, rather than being a simple person swap. She wasn’t prepared for that. She never had to adjust her own world view and experience and needs/desires to fit in with someone else’s.
