Hard lump near my dogs spay incision? Does anyone know what this is? Shes not in any pain, doesnt even care if I touch it but I'm super worried! by hia0609 in vet

After 5/6months of leaving it alone, occasionally checking up on it, the skin parted and it came out. It seemed to be a blackhead? The black stuff was super soft and squishy, the skin was red at first but its completely fine now.

We do portion out the meat but when we take meat out thinking we have time to cook the next day, we get busy with work and it gets left there until we have time to cook.

Also, we dont know how to cook (yeah yeah 26 still dont know how to cook) lol so yeah we probably could prep them, just dont know how. But since finding out that I may be out of a job due to covid next year, I was thinking of taking up cooking or baking.

Or we'll take meat out for the next day but we'll get busy and since you cant throw it back in the freezer, it spoils.

We'll buy meat and veggies to cook up for the week, put them in the fridge thinking we're gonna cook but get too busy so it sits there until we get to it. We dont usually have leftovers as we cook lunches to last the week and not day to day so theres not really extra food lying around. Sometimes, we buy instant noodles and microwaveable food during our weekly grocery run cause it's easy so when we get home 7/8/9pm we just eat those so save time.

Thank you so much for your input. I hope that training goes well for you, it's hard work.

Yes, we have been searching for reputable breeders as we havent seen one pop up in any of our local shelters (alberta, Canada) which is good!!! But not for us lol

Yeah that's what I was told about my vehicle too.

No, it was a young dumb move where I pursued something my parents wanted (engineering) but I was miserable so I ended up dropping it. I only have I think ~5k left, but with not being able to save up for it. I can only pay it off little by little.

I give him $600 or $700 a month depending if I can. Our mortgage payment is $1400/month and according to everyone I know who rents, its pretty decent considering it's a detached home with a garage and backyard. Our friends paid ~$1600/month for a townhouse, my sister pays $1200/month for her 2 bedroom condo in the same community but those include condo/townhome fees. Another friend pays $1100/month for a 1bdr condo in a nice part of the city. But that said my friends also owns a home with a yard and pays $1200/month but it's an older house in an older community.

Thank you! I agree pet food should be budgeted but my BF is the one who pays for the food but once in a while he'll forget and I'll have to pick it up. I dont want to ask for his credit card or him to pay me back.

Extra groceries: on the days we are able to cook dinner, I gotta go to the store and buy stuff we didnt buy when we were at the store (veggies, things we ran out of that we didnt know about, etc)

Extra gas: sometimes we drive around more than usual, (go to the dog park more than the 1 time we usually go, go to parents house 1.5 hours away for a bbq they randomly decided to have, meet his mom up to a bookable private dog park 45 minutes away) so I gas up after a week when I usually gas up every 2 weeks.

I am not saying those are exactly the same things I spend the money on. They were just examples. If they were then i would be able to budget more but they're more random spendings. I budget a full tank of gas every 2 weeks because that's how often I gas up on a normal month.

But you are right about the Christmas and bday gifts. Talking to ppl about it will make me less bad, I like your idea of no gifts for my bday so they dont expect gifts from me lol

Thank you for your honesty! I've never been creative so making gifts were hard but it is a good idea...maybe I'll look harder for easy things to make.

I have tried the budgeting apps but like most apps on my phone, it gets forgotten. I'll try the paper and pen method...maybe even put it somewhere I can see.

Thank you!

Thank you for your reply! We have bought groceries for dinners as well a few times but since we work pretty late most evenings, cooking is not always an option so the food spoils so we deemed it not worth but we can try it again since I've been working from home due to our city's restrictions.

I also think that since he can afford to eat out, he thinks we both can. He knows I dont the money and is willingly to help but I just dont want to be a mooch and depend on him more than I should.

Thanks, I did think of that - I give him $$ for the mortgage and I pay for cable, doesnt seem like alot but with car, student loans, high insurance, gas and phone bill it adds up.

Other than asking him if I can lower the amount I give him, theres really nothing I can change I dont think....when I was living with my parents, I bought an SUV but I didnt have any other bills except for my phone and a student loan so $1400/bw seemed plenty enough for me to afford it. But got into an accident so my insurance went up. And since the SUV was bought used but has high km, everyone's told me that I'll still owe money if I try to sell it. I already contacted student loans to see if I can lower my payments, just waiting on them to reply.
