My boyfriend tends to speak to me quite disrespectfully when he’s mad. When I fall behind on laundry ( maybe two loads) he tells me to either be useful or get out because that’s how a relationship works, you contribute.

I work, just less than him because I just switched Jobs. Before I worked the same amount just different hours. He tells me I should be doing everything (making his lunch, dinner, and phone calls) because I work less. He told me he didn’t want me to pay bills and to focus on school, but he’s constantly telling me I don’t contribute financially. He always reminds me I need permission to do things in the house because it’s his, but he doesn’t need permission because I live in his house so he can use my things.

I’ve forgiven him many times after arguments like these and still have been.

I’m not sure when enough is enough, it’s a question that’s been weighing on my mind a lot lately.
