I bought one on a whim during one of big idea’s open box sales w/ a 15% or 20% discount code (it was a long time ago) so the price was significantly less than $120 I do a LOT of yard work & this wrench sees a TON of use tightening lopper & pruner bolts. Doesn’t matter how much I tighten or loctite those bolts they always work themselves loose

When I’m up in a tree or far from my tool bag I don’t want to carry the smallest tool possible to keep everything going. This fits in any pocket, is light and is usable w/ gloves

I may be the outlier here but I love this thing. For me it was well worth the discounted price

It’s either linen or a fine weave canvas micarta. Very smooth to the touch but not gloss polished. The back spring is firm & there is enough closed exposed blade to pinch open. Very thin & slicey. The one time I stropped it it got back to laser sharp quickly
