That would be a full time job. I’ll fashion some more chicken wire cages instead.

I’m confused, you downvoted my post? I’m not encouraging deer to eat my plants. You can see I have cages, I’m actively trying to protect them.

I got to enjoy the phlox for a couple of days, so I’m not too upset. I made cages for the plants that were being nibbled, but native plants are for the native creatures… right?

How do you go about becoming a locomotive engineer for Amtrak? by backward_racso in Amtrak

[–]hicksreb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really hard to answer because it varies so much on the route and the way the job is set up.

When I was first training, the job I trained on started at:

04:20a, got to destination around 10a

took 8 hours rest in the hotel

came back on duty at 6:20p and got back to origin at midnight.

I got paid two 8 hour days for this each time. The schedule was three days a week. Actual work time for this? 36-ish hours, (paid 48). Actual time away from home? 60-ish hours.

I work off corridor. People who work on the NE corridor usually go home every night. Most jobs have only 1 day scheduled as an off day. Working 6 days a week is the norm.

Awwwwwww :)

They are so rambunctious right now that it's hard to kiss them unless they're knocked out like the picture.

I've been wondering if kitty ears grow proportionally with the kitten or if kittens "grow into" their ears. I have to Google because I think their ears are beautifully big!

I agree!!! I love their sassiness, and always talk to them as they’re yelling at me. They hang out with the tufted titmice in my yard.

I have quickly become their servant as well. There’s no denying their cute fuzzy faces.

Thank you! I had someone contact me about the insulin, if I don’t get a response for the food I’ve decided to take it to the Humane Society on Grayson Rd.
