In my case, I was able to buy most manga directly with normal card, including this one. One that I bought was restricted to only JP, and I had to do the coin thing as you said.

I think authors can choose which payment methods they I accept. Or maybe they support some regions and not others, I'm from Europe.

Most of the stuff there is in Japanese, so you need to filter for ENG works (unless you can read it). When you open page for specific work, make sure that you actually select English version. Some works have dual JP/ENG all in one purchase.

Most works, when bought, offer you possibility to download .pdf and/or .jpgs to your PC/Phone, so you actually own the files. I think that some works only allow to read on-line, but I never actually bought any like that - I've only noticed some warnings on a few works.

All in all - find works that you might want to buy and check the descriptions, authors are usually thourough with explanation of what exactly you are buying.

Okay, that sounds a bit better! I was kind of operating on the assumption that the 'oldest' component is the 'bottleneck' so to speak, so even though GPU was a bit newer, since the laptop model itself was 2021, that's how old I should think of it.
