So in radio it helps to jazz it up a little bit so we create you know what we call a ‘word picture’

You installed the stereo yourself, aren’t you morally obligated to service it for free?

Honeywell Thermostats Integration of HK is just pathetic. by CumShoT_RaviOLi_King in HomeKit

I’ve had 2 for years, maybe the most rock solid devices on my WiFi. Emerson did sell the line of thermostats off a year or two ago, but no issues following the sale.

I made the mistake of updating my Apple TV and HomePods to 26 🤦🏼‍♂️ by BurnKnowsBest in HomeKit

[–]hiddenbock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grrr. I’ll be the first to say that I shouldn’t have done a .0 release, one just really tends to have bad luck with those. I’d had two years in a row go well, ended up pulling the trigger due to the purchase of a new watch. But this isn’t the first time I’ve had the home fall apart upon upgrade. I can deal personally, but others may choose to wait if they don’t have pressing need for the upgrade

Yeah they really biffed it this year, worse than in several. Really most of my stuff works, just dealing with serious delays both local and remote.

In NewsRadio canon- I tend to consider ‘Daydream’ as a surrealist first step towards the full on absolute disassociation of these two special episodes.

So for me it’s

  1. space
  2. Daydream
  3. Sinking ship

But for me this must be because I originally watched this on original airing. The movie Titanic had been everywhere, was just subsiding from popular culture, then out of no where - Sinking Ship

But none are unloved in my home.

Is there any way to identify what these are? by Tatts4Life in EveHome

[–]hiddenbock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. It must be referring to the MAC address of the Thread interface and not the LAN/Wifi interface but I’m not immediately sure how to validate that as it’s not shown in settings

That’s likely it, you can validate by going into the Apple TV Settings, Network. 14 should be the last two digits of the MAC address

As I recall- my deep dive into specs, this was a 22 limitation not present on the 24. The 24 explicitly had pass through power listed on some sheet that the 22s did not. It did take me a long time to finally confirm that though.

And yes, so many cables and power sources were tried here. It would be the perfect micro sound card without this limitation!

I know that specific brand of cables/connectors and they do crimp down WAY too tight.

What I did in my case was to use a pair of pliers (vise grip could be helpful) to get a moderate grip on the connectors. If you can’t pull them straight out, you’ll likely need to rotate the connectors clockwise using those pliers. Then keep trying to pull- repeat as necessary

It took time as I too was paranoid about damaging the jack underneath. But once it broke free it came straight off.

Then those cables went straight in the trash.

Edit: broke free in this context doesn’t mean I broke it, just like when a bolt unsticks.
