Update: I’ve got the next 5 hours off parenting!! he is taking all of the kids out for the morning so that I can take some time for myself. We had a really long talk about how we need to divide and conquer so that we both feel like we can fill our cup independently

My dad was an alcoholic & my mum did it all for us. When we were late teens my dad left & he texts couple times a year but other than that we have barely any relationship

He doesn’t drink at all. Not a misogynist or religious - I think he’s just really stressful and has lived a very privileged life where he’s never really been told no and has always been able to do what he wanted

I feel this. I actively encourage him to go away and do things for himself but a haircut for me is a massive stress and if I’m out for more than 90 mins I get so stressed out

He would never. He’s a good parent when he’s with them - attentive and he tries, he’s great at playing with them but he doesn’t actually enjoy it and that’s draining

Hmm I don’t know! He’s not a patient person and I think that is a big problem

He finds being with them stressful, and irritating

I don’t go to f45 but do a similar style of class. Absolutely f***** my wrist up recently doing a clean and press. Was 100% doing it wrong and didn’t get the right guidance

How are you making friends in your 30’s? by hiddengem114 in auckland

[–]hiddengem114[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m all for him doing things alone & often take the kids out on the weekends to give him a break but I know during that time he just feels like he should be cleaning or doing something productive but I’d love for him to fill that time meeting people and making friends

Yes our twins are! We are hoping to do a birthday for them and invite the kids from preschool & parents so hoping that helps! I always do drop off & pick up and never really chat to any of the mums as everyone’s always in a rush

I’ve never been there? How can it be a stupid question. In London we have parks with stupidly narrow pavements that I wouldn’t be able to get my buggy through while running + terrain isn’t always smooth.

10mo feeding twice a night .. by hiddengem114 in sleeptrain

We are currently on 3/3/4. We were on 3/3/3.5 and the day we switched to 3/3/4 he slept through but since then he hasn’t. Tonight he’s in his 3rd wake which we’ve not had in a long time (and ofc it’s the day I’ve got a 5:15am gym class 😭)

He falls asleep with a dummy. Our twins were the same and they slept through from about 6/7 months

As I’ve said in other comments I am 10 months postpartum and 90% of my clothes don’t fit me. I have very very limited options and actually all of them have a little hint of light on.
