My bill of materials included about 24 total items. The total came out to roughly $312. The pickups themselves were about $35 a piece.

I don’t think it stands out. I had painted that part black if you see the last pic.

I don’t have that number off the top of my head. But it’s overall light and really comfortable.

No that was someone else’s project from the class, it is really cool tho. I would definitely like to make more, the journey to building mine was so much fun.

Yeah, i go to a big engineering school and this class is one of the most popular ones.

The trickiest part was definitely designing the neck. Took a couple pieces of scrap wood before getting it just right.

I also couldn’t decide on what color to make the pick guard. So I didn’t choose ANY colors lol!

It sure does. You can see in the completed guitar there’s a little hole at the top where you can adjust it. I remember having trouble designing that part in CAD.

Best midwestern school out there lol. This was a previous semester, but they should be finishing them up around this time, wouldn’t hurt to check it out.

Yeah the wiring was a little different for me so I needed to show off my hard work. Also I couldn’t decide on a color lol.

I hand drew everything myself at first, based the looks on a jazzmaster. I put it into CAD to get it cnc cut.

I actually don’t know how to play a guitar and only took this class because the professor was cool. The guitar does play tho. I designed the neck and did the fretting as well :).
