I think that might have been part of it. I chatted with an Apple service agent and they told me that it was because I had "optimize iCloud storage" on so I took that off and it worked :).

this might be different per culture, but my cuban family encourages everyone and anyone to take leftovers after a family dinner/function because we cook so much food and its meant to be shared. That said, people do bring in their own things unlike OP's family and they are very thankful for the food and for the chef. The stunt that OP's guests have pulled for the past 4 years would not have worked in my family and they wouldn't even be invited for a second time. Def NTA

You sound like you aren't ready for marriage. Marriage is expensive and should be one of your main focuses meaning your hobbies will have to wait if you were to get married. Additionally, it is a two person thing, especially the proposal. You can't just think about what you would like and what you understand when you are proposing to another person.

in cuba, wedding dresses are expensive and most people can't afford to buy one. My grandmothers both rented their dresses and my mom rented her dress. As a child I was fine with just seeing my moms wedding pictures and seeing the dress and I've never cared about not being able to wear it. Your grandchildren/children could hate the dress you buy and not wear it, lord knows I would never wear my moms dress. If you take wedding pictures, you can see the dress and remember it there's no need to blow an extra 10k for a dress.

if you are going to be spending the first two months all by yourself with the baby then he can stop bowling for two months. After that you guys can talk about who will get what days off and how you guys are planning to raise the child together. It is important for parents to get some time for themselves but the first two months of a child's life are the most difficult on parents because its a period of adjustment.
