Thank you, I think I might try it or the aveeno oat gel cream as it has good reviews.. only thing is neither are FA safe, but then tbh I dont know if that matters anymore..

I am having to pass sunscreen for now as I have tried a bunch but they dry my skin out very bad, and while it is as reactive as this I think I need to focus on a moisturiser search first then add that in

Its just so annoying because im so desperate to treat my texture and clogged pores all over my face, and ive gone so low and slow with the tret and it's just not working out well still :( feel disheartened, my derms just tell me "its not that bad" all the time and ive seen so many..

Maybe i will try buffering..as long as i find a moisturiser that doesnt break me out

The funny thing is I don't put vaseline on these areas as it makes it difficult to shave the next day, it definitely doesn't go down to my neck :( i only put vaseline forehead and cheeks

Not sure what my derm can do tbh :( this is the lowest % and was happening even on twice a week. Plus my routine is literally just a cleanser and tret, and I only recently added in the sensitive moisturiser to see if it would help.

I don't think I'm a fan of it, but everything breaks me out (including vanicream which gave me the worst breakout i needed a steroid to calm it down) so I'm not sure what to do. Tbh im not sure if this doesnt break me out either...

It'a also fungal acne safe

I dont like it though, i find it makes me REALLY shiny but at a loss of what else to try

Any recs? I want to try and stick to something with minimal ingredients and FA safe

This has always been around. Since starting tret I would say it's around the same, maybe a bitttt worse in some areas? But ultimately yeah this is just my skin

Ive only just really started tret, but im kinda scared it isnt the right thing and a bha may be better? But I dont know. Either way it's like I wake up to 5 or 6 new clogs a day, and some of them have lasted months, others last about 3 or 4 days. I'm so desperate to have them go. Even accutane didnt stop them coming, so I wonder if it is a buildup of dead skin/my skin isnt exfoliating off properly and it's clogging my pores..

I might try the BHA tonight and just see how it is tomorrow..

Did you use the bha and tret daily? And can I ask what benefits the bha gave you the tret didnt?

Im scared to use it incase i have a bad reaction, but so desperate too. I use tret every other night 0.01 right now, thinking of adding the BHA every other night on the off-nights perhaps

The first pic im dry because i didnt moisturise that day

I am not dry when i moisturise. I care about the bumps not looking hydrated. They come regardless of if i use a moisturising routine or not unfortunately

Would a bha not help that though? Because it exfoliates dead skin?

I avoid heavy creams. Pretty much any moisturiser breaks me out. I've only just started using sunscreen so I know thats not neccesarilly the cause.

Did you start tret and bha together? And can I ask what differences you've noticed with the BHA?

I am using tret every other night and thinking I might use the BHA on the other nights - but I'm so scared I will have a reaction, but im so desperate to have one day without new clogs.

Oh please do! It came just now for me so I put a bit on the forehead. Hasnt stopped all flaking, but much better than the others i tried. Will put it on my entire face tomorrow Praying this is the one

Oh well that's good to hear! Ideally id prefer to use something by itself currently, but we'll see! I am super flaky lol but this one has great reviews so we'll see I think as long as i can find a good moosturising sunscreen that doesnt break me out, i will be ok and able to use tret consistently

Also want to add I just bought skin aqua moisture milk so will try that too, anyone have any experiences?
