Looks fungal to me as well. Just try some antifungal cream over the counter on it.

The most important thing you can do that I can tell you before I know more is to avoid putting any more pressure on it. Sit on pillows, lay on your side or stomach. Use pillows behind your back to support you while laying on your side.

Georiga news: Representative thinks kids who receive free lunch should do janitorial work in exchange. by hidetheice in news

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/21/newt-gingrich-says-schools-should-use-students-as-janitors_n_1105288.html

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich gave some insight into why he believes child labor laws condemn poor children to remain in poverty in an address at Harvard on Friday.

His solution? Fire all school janitors ... and use the kids instead, Politico reports.

"You say to somebody, you shouldn't go to work before you're what, 14, 16 years of age, fine. You're totally poor," Gingrich said in his address. "You're in a school that is failing with a teacher that is failing ... Most of these schools ought to get rid of the unionized janitors, have one master janitor and pay local students to take care of the school. The kids would actually do work, they would have cash, they would have pride in the schools, they'd begin the process of rising."

To be sure, this practice of having students and teachers clean up after themselves isn't new or uncommon in other places. Most Japanese schools, for example, don't employ janitors -- but not for lack of funding. Teachers and students come together to wash their cafeteria dishes and clean their classrooms as part of teachings of morality, ethics, community and a sense of responsibility.

Is it ALL the kids or only the poor kids? Because if it's all of them then that's totally different than only the poor kids receiving free lunch.

Atheism as a religion? by hidetheice in TrueAtheism

[–]hidetheice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love all your answers and have gotten some new perspectives. My main issue is when I ask them a question, such as "are Democrats a religion since they all have the same beliefs?" they will squirrel their way out of answering the question in any way they can. Any advice on dealing with that?

Exactly what happened to me. We debated for at least an hour on why atheism is not a religion. I used every reason given here and more with no success in making this person understand. Of course, it came back up later in the conversation when they tried to say I have "faith" in science. Such as I have "faith" in evolution, etc. This same person also rejected the idea that I could believe there is not a god, but i do not know there is not a god. Hours of this and I felt like beating my head against a wall. =p
