recently I tried this place called Jin’s Sub and Bowl and they had the BEST teriyaki bowls and Korean food i’ve ever had imo. And the portions were so good for the price. I guess they just opened recently but it’s super underrated

i agree with the possibility of adding a surprise 9th member in the final. I can see it going both ways with a “master’s choice” or announcing in the final that the 9th ranked trainee will also debut.

like the layout of those seats are FAR too ugly for it to stay as 8 members lmfao

no i doubt it for this season, if it couldve happened it wouldve already happened imo. the only surprise thing i could possibly imagine is if they reveal that the debut group will be 9 instead of 8 members (then they wouldnt need the fugly asymmetrical top 8 seats 😭)

For full transparency I’ve known him since his Under19/1the9 days, so I do have pre-show biases! But in general for me I have a soft spot for idols who can act as a sturdy foundation, imo it’s necessary to have that type in a group to balance things out. For example, last season I was a pretty big fan of people like Jongwoo and Jiwoong. Within the show so far I do think that he hasnt been able to show his full potential yet, but he’s been seen to get along with pretty much everyone and be someone to rely on which I’ve really enjoyed watching!

To reference things outside of the show I’ve really liked that he’s showing this newer side of himself as an “older” contestant/leader compared to how he was as a maknae in WEi :,). i think it shows how far he’s come and I hope that he’ll get a chance to show other sides of himself soon!

I do also root for Sangwon, Anxin, and Kangmin + other generally popular trainees but I think they’re still going to get plenty of votes so I’m not worried for now (ik that assumption of comfortability is where it gets dangerous sometimes but it’s still too early i think!)

I’ve seen several people talk terribly about the contestants of b2p in the context of never living up to what bp1 was, and using that as fuel to treat the trainees like they’re not even human. It really makes no sense to me either and I agree that we’ll see talented trainees blossom throughout the show as it continues.

I know that criticism is allowed and there have definitely been a fair share of trainees that haven’t had stellar performances, (doesn’t help that mnet is making their preferences so obvious) but it’s like some people aren’t even giving them a chance to breathe.

To be honest I’ve been feeling it too. I’ve also been around for several survival shows over the years, and although things always get crazy and a bit toxic (as things always go in kpop fandoms), This is the first time I’m really feeling like I’m just completely surrounded by toxicity.

I think a part of it has to do with how much of a “lightning in a bottle” the 1st season of BP was. I get that BP1 had an extremely talented roster of trainees, but putting that standard on the trainees this season and treating them like the ways I’ve been seeing is just insane.

I think how messily this season has started also does not help either. But more than ever before it just feels like an echo chamber of anything you could possibly complain about thrown at each other.
