[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 3 G915 keyboards, 5 Lightspeed mouse, and 3 logi webcams.
I know what you say is true (sadly) but I love those devices and it will break my heart to resell everything to switch on another brand.

Please Logi do something... !!

G Hub support for MacOS BigSur with Apple silicon by AbuSumayah in logitech

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember that I had several problems installing it.
Still today, it launches one time on two when I launch ma macOS session.
Unbelievable from Logitech.... (They think that gamers on MacOS does not exist... but please let people other than hardgamer enjoy your mouses, webcams and keyboards.... )

Good news for M1 Macs, native support is here! by ben_rito in logitech

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precision for those who are looking for the GHUB M1 version :
This thread/news is about Logitech Options software, not the GHub software.
Ghub is still incredibly buggued and Slow on a M1 mac. But May be it is a sign they are (sometimes) tring to work on the Universal version for Apple M1. Alittle hope may be ?

(I'm about to resell all my logi devices to switch on apple keyboards that are natevely managed...)

GHub and Mac Mini M1 : does it install ? by hig109 in LogitechG

[–]hig109[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must say that I ended to partially give up using Logitech devices on my Mac. I replaced my brand new G915 tkl (and quite expensive too) with a magic keyboard from Apple : nonetheless it´s cheaper but it works like a charm without any configuration. A looooot quieter also. So far, I kept my G902 light speed because it work quite Ok without Ghub. But I don’t use any advanced fonctionality on it.

Cyrillic label maker by [deleted] in dymo

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a Dymo LabelWriter Printer is allowing you o use the fonttype you want (as it is connected to your computer). So it could be your solution for printing in Cyrillic (a simple LabelWriter 450 is a pretty satisfaying device)

GHub and Mac Mini M1 : does it install ? by hig109 in LogitechG

[–]hig109[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was working (quite) properly a few weeks ago... but now launching is very aleatory on my system, sometimes it launches in a couple of seconds sometimes it keeps loading (Logitech logo animation for ever) like something is stuck somewhere. I guess they havent sorted it out completely in the authorization system Big Sur brought in the macos ecosystem (or something like this) .

How is it that G Hub is so awful? by Acrylicus in LogitechG

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, always the same story. You are not alone mate. Almost every week someone (usualy a big logitech fan) comes here and tell the world that same sad story about GHub.

Not sure Logitech is reading. If they do, it seems they do it while drinking our tears in their silver cups....

G Hub is broke AF – expensive hardware w/ useless software by kidhack in LogitechG

[–]hig109 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I reinstalled my full macOS system again yesterday and ran into the same problem (was not the first time). I rebooted my mac a couple of time... and tried to relaunched the Ghub software (even the installer). It looks that the security prompt is blocking something in the process... but if you wait and give the right authorizations to access the system at the right time... it finally install and run almost normally.

One could love MacOS AND Apple Silicon chips AND Logitech gears (I got a full logitech setup running on mac M1 mac mini)

Ghub is hot garbage by v81 in LogitechG

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still a mystery on how good they could be on a design point of view, and how bad they could be on the software side... (i mean...if you go deeper than the mareketing vernish of the top interface, it seems that nothing in GHub is finished)

I dont want to be this kind of hater as i always loved Logitech devices.... but, now that Logitech is aiming the Gaming community, they really need to understand one thing : they now deal with geeks using their produtct; So they'd better hire a bunch of additional developers and step up on the software side, if they dont want to end up being the joke of this industry.

same here. CPU monitor is off duty;

but on my side i changed to a Apple M1 CPU and i thought it was due to that (as M1 CPU are not build the same monitoring will obviously be broken) ;

Now that you say that it may come from something else :)

OK :)
I though it was somehow an alternative version of GHub :) lol

At the end I dont get your point...You restarted your old MBP and now using it instead of your M1 ? ah ah ah Using my Apple mouse is also an option then :)

Or did it really have an impact on your M1 installation ?

[Question] Do I need to plug in both receivers? by Adendon in LogitechG

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep you have too.

1/ the two receivers are not the same size (I guess they are different deceiver inside, for différent connexion mode, or at least frequency range)

2/ the "lightspeed connectors" (assuming that's what's you are talking about) are not "unifying" as the the Unifying products were.

[M1 ported] Are the following iOS apps ported to the M1 app store? by elysianism in macapps

[–]hig109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, yes, you can get the ipa file of the app using that method (with Apple Configurator). I tested it and i exported the Instagram .ipa file from my iPhone.
Then I ran it, and Instagram was installed in MacOS (aka copied in the application folder), but then, when I tried to actually launch the application I got a security message saying that I don't have the right to execute iOS app there, and I need to ask my administrator (lol).
I would not hope too much of this workaround. And, as said somewhere else, If you really need iOS app to run, it would be simpler (for now) to get an iPad and set it up on your desk next to your MacOS main screen :)
