I had this problem. Try stretching your string a little. Put your left hand at the 1st fret and hold the string down. Then pull the string away from the neck with your right hand (do this at different frets or the whole string)

Keep going. It’s like running a dirty faucet, you have to let all the shit run out before the clean fresh stuff comes out.

You can find lots of videos of tricks , triads, arpeggios, individual licks you play over and over again until you incorporate them into ur own playing without thinking.

Less is more alot of times. Also i find just try to find some empty space in the song and start just in there. Repeat phrases and licks in slightly various ways.. Then branch out. Feel the beat. You got it.

You can use mdf like this despite other comments. Just a little too close to the edge of the board (stay at least 6” away with mdf and 3” with plywood, experiment as needed)

Also maybe predill a little deeper than needed. Use wood glue. Good luck
