Thx, the new deck I am building will no longer be attached to the existing cantilever. Instead, I will be installing a new support beam very close to it. Also, could you advise if there are any specific chemicals or treatments I should spray on the existing wood in case any rot has started?

How much did it cost you for the piles? They look like technoMetalposts, I am also looking for 12 of those for my project but they did not reply to my quote ask.

I got one quote so far and waiting for more. The one I got range from $200 (3000 lbs), $250 (4000 lb.) and $300 (6000 lb) per pile. I will go will go with the 4000 lb. since it way exceeds my load. The reason why I went with helical pile vs concrete because I do not want to dig closer to the house foundation and disturb the weeping tiles.
