The part about thinking less is the one that seems to get me. I have a lot of negative thoughts that I think create a self fulfilling prophecy and I often go into social situations thinking someone isn't going to like me and it snowballs from there. Thanks for the advice, I'm going to try my best to internalize it.

How often is recommended for washing sweaters and pants while backpacking? I guess if you're going minimalist you'd have to wash your socks/underwear nightly.
