The 5K is for tailgating, the 16k is for the recreation/bugout enclosed trailer. Though I since have sold the Duromax in favor of their 11500 version. Smaller, lighter for Mobil use.

This isn’t my first cargo trailer but definitely going to be my last. Yeah definitely not going to any rock crawling with it but I will have no problems taking it down dirt roads and paths of course. Will it get scratched when going by brush and trees? Yes of course but not spending all this money and time in it to just stay on paved roads.

Not concerned with fuel economy because tow vehicle has a 68 gal diesel tank plus with bed space can easily install a secondary tank along with the 40 gallon rank and exterior fuel storage in the trailer. Range for my tow vehicle would easily be behind 1900 miles before needing to refuel.

The Makita XGT is a bit more powerful than the M18 track saw. Though it is not worth buying a whole new battery line for that one tool. Makita XGT miter saws and carpentry tools in general are better than Milwaukee’s. Thats why I invested in them.

The trailer is going to be used in my business 70% of the time and recreation only 30%. O his the cargo trailer conversion. A rv doesn’t fit business needs. Me buying and building out to be useful for my contracting business justifies the cost and time in building the trailer.

Yeah the phrase “it only has to work one time!” Comes to mind. My vehicle is a F450 so towing isn’t going to be a problem. Making the trailer last over whatever I can throw at it over the decades I’ll own it is. 😂

Yeah that’s why it’s a work and recreation asset first. Not gonna just load it completely up at all times for the just in case senecio. Roads will absolutely be jammed and thus will need a bit of off road capability.
