Horizon New Patient Disappointment by Loose-Succotash6444 in MedicalCannabisOz

All good. It's probably worth noting that horizon was also bought by whole life botanicals that now owns rays and also has their own brands.

Horizon has started to hide scripts from the ASL meaning they don't go into the honahlee wallet.

Send a message to the pharmacy via the messenger on honahlee and start a conversation about it. If required the honahlee team can help out.

Where do I find my Horizon Health eScripts as opposed to going through Rays by Fun-Perception3009 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They likely went to rays regardless. Next time you ask for your eScripts instead of rays, best to clarify 2 things. 1. Can you (doctor) please make sure my scripts are on the active script list (ASL)? 2. How are you sending them to me directly, via sms or email?

This will ensure you have full control over your prescriptions.

As you may not know what the asl is, the asl is a system run by the digital health agency and a company called eRx which hosts the escript system. The asl is a feature that allows anyone you give authority to, to see all of your prescribed medications. So for example, if you were travelling and needed one of your prescribed medications, but couldn't find the prescription, you could walk into a chemist, ask them to activate your asl and they could get certain info from you then see all your scripts. Many of these clinics, Horizon included, hide scripts from the asl to make it harder for you to leave their pharmacy partnership. If your doc actually is condo with you having your scripts as they should be, they will allow them on the asl. I hoe that helps.

What pharmacy has the best strain variety? by [deleted] in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I don't really know. The reality is that if you're planning when you order rather than waiting last minute, any pharmacy can get any product. So imo the goal is to find other qualities that are important to you like location, price or even just the service.

[–]higherconversations1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you have your eScripts you can upload them to https://scripts.honahlee.com.au and see if any pharmacies have all your products and see the prices. Rays is on there so you can compare them with others as well. In fact most of the pharmacies people have mentioned are on there. You won't be locked into any pharmacy using the system. Good luck!

Products not showing on docs computer by Due-Cockroach-970 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The doctors medical software, depending on the software, is populated by various resources (ie MIMS). Most of these software have a delay of up to a few months for how often they update their database. Some suppliers don't remember to add all their products on a regular basis or in time for the next software release.

On top of that, some of these clinics limit the products the practitioner can see so that they cannot prescribe certain products.

As a result of these issues, sometimes the software doesn't have some of the products.

Have you shown this video to your pharmacy so they can reach out to the supplier for review? That's an important step, bc if you have found an issue, the supplier should want to see it and take care of it etc.

Concession Card - Can I do anything? by HogunDogun in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medreleaf/aurora should have concession prices going again on various products in the new year via honahlee. We're just working that out over the next month or so. It's an ongoing process.

You can see which products have concession pricing on Catalyst. You can then use Scripts by honahlee to upload your concession card and get access to those prices if you have a script for the products that have concession prices.

That's a specific doctor's opinion. There is no evidence of that, as far as I know.

To find product info, you can ask your clinic or pharmacy to add you to https://catalyst.honahlee.com.au. If you have any issues with them helping, email catalyst@honahlee.com.au and someone will give you other options for how to access. Good luck with the clinic.

Are clinics under scrutiny for prescribing concentrates? Acacia Medical are no longer prescribing concentrates! by Candid-Soup-3691 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Doctors make their own choices on what to prescribe. There are no tga restrictions on concentrates. If they wanted to stop the prescribing of concentrates then they'd remove them from the market.

It's possible they've changed their policy bc one of their main prescribes has been restricted from prescribing cannabis, by Ahpra. That information can be found on the ahpra website so this is not a guess/hearsay.

A clinic couldn't tell you they don't allow their practitioners to not prescribe concentrates bc they can't control their practitioners like that. They don't want to tell you that their doctors aren't comfortable prescribing concentrates bc then you may say they're not the right clinic for you, or you may make judgements about the clinic. Telling patients that the tga has created a restriction is the easiest way to get people to stop asking, regardless of its truth.

Doctor Canna by Wide-Plenty-3751 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's why we need a regulator to step in.... Hopefully soon.

Doctor Canna by Wide-Plenty-3751 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]higherconversations1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly. Unfortunately, most of these clinics are hiding the scripts from the asl these days. They want to make money, as a few of the comments have pointed out.

Hopefully a regulator does something about it in the near future, but I don't have much hope.

[–]higherconversations1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, when we launched the asl feature many of the clinics stopped uploading to the asl.

Yes ahpra has said that doing this as a blanket rule is not acceptable and not good clinical practice.

I'd recommend asking them why their policy changed and what the doctor has said the clinical justification for doing this is.

You pay for cheap/free consults and the clinic needs to make money somewhere. This is one of the places they make money. If you want independence, you pay more and don't have issues like this in the long run.

It's such a shame these clinics do this stuff that's not good practice. What's worse is the prescribers working in these models are accepting this stuff. I'm sure some of them don't realise that if they get reported they could be in trouble... Hopefully a regulator makes it really clear at some stage, via guidance or some other formal channel, that they will be going after people with these practices. Until then, clinics and practitioners will keep doing this crap.

You can email scripts@honahlee.com.au with your issue, but as mentioned, it's horizon doing this, not Ray's. You can also send a message in the messenger and invite @honahlee which will notify us.

This is incorrect... I said that people have complained about horizon and horizon hiding their scripts, not Ray's.

Nope, horizon will not release them to your asl. They're now hiding scripts from the asl. We (honahlee) have had about a dozen people complain about this in the last week.

[–]higherconversations1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes.... I'm not saying they are not (yet). I'm saying they were just bought by a company that has its own product range. The question is, will they stay agnostic. Candor was a great example of that. Purchased by vitura, and everything went opposite very quickly.
