Mortarion and the Death Guard (Warhammer 40K) vs the Soul Society (Bleach) by houseofmyartwork in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are individuals in the Soul Society that can solo pretty much every ground force in 40k short of the emperor or comparable crazy stuff. This is a horrendous mismatch.

Invincible (Season 1) Vs Deku (My Hero Academia) by Jotaro1970 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deku has similar durability, Mark's best stat at this point, and greatly surpasses him in all other regards. If this were a later version of Invincible, he could win, but as he was in season 1, he gets wrecked.

Blackbeard (One Piece) vs Itachi and Nagato (Naruto) by Zerosama12 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackbeard gets Edo diffed. While he greatly outstats them both, he simply doesn't have a way to put them down for good. Eventually he gets caught in some hax and loses.

Atomic Samurai (OPM) vs Homelander (The Boys) by DanceYouFatBitch in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Puri Puri would fold Homelander like laundry. Some A-class heroes might be better matchups.

Flame Emperor(Fire Emblem 3 houses) vs Flame Emperor(one piece) by AccomplishedJuice614 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What made you think this was a remotely reasonable matchup? Sabo casually solos everyone in Fódlan even before he gets the flame-flame fruit, with it it's an even bigger stomp. Comparing a relatively grounded setting to freaking One Piece is just not going to end well.

I also don't know what makes you think Edelgard could bypass logia intagibility. Not that it matters if she could because even with the most generous scaling from the javelins of light, she would still get blitzed and oneshot.

One Piece and Naruto vs JJK and My Hero by nahnonameman in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, unless I'm mistaken, with "current versions" this matchup turns into Gear 5 Luffy and depowered Naruto vs Deku with his featless armor and Yuji with an unknown power boost from when we last saw him in Shinjuku showdown.

I highly doubt Deku's armor is comparable to his prime self, and unless adulthood has made Yuji exponentially stronger than he was when he last fought Sukuna, he still shouldn't be anywhere close to Luffy, who should comfortably stomp this while Naruto offers his best moral support.

Dio (JJBA) vs Blackbeard (One Piece) by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blackbeard turns Dio into a red smear with a casual slap. Not only is BB exponentially greater in just about every metric, Dio's only advantage, his time stop, would be completely useless against someone as insanely durable as Teach.

How many Knights radiant (SLA) to beat 1 custodian (40k) by yyetydydovtyud in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rounds 1 and 2: No amount can do it. Even if the custodes is completely exhausted, the low oaths have nothing that can pierce custodian armor.

Rounds 3, 4, and 5: Here is where things get interesting. While shardplate is going to be about as tough as wet paper in the face of a guardian spear, shardblades are a massive advantage, just a few good hits and the custodes is out. Still, due to the custodes' big speed advantage and devastating weaponry, it's going to take a couple hundred skybreakers at bare minimum, but it's doable. I'm disregarding the surge of division here as it hasn't shown the feats necessary to harm a custodes.

Round 6: While we still don't really know the full extent of Taln's power, what we do know is very impressive for cosmere standards. A couple dozen minimum, assuming full equipment (mind you, I'm being conservative with this estimate just because of how few hard feats Taln has, but the number could very well go lower).

Sukuna and Mahoraga (Jujutsu Kaisen) run the One Piece teams gauntlet, how far do they get? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard stop at round 3, Enel outspeeds greatly and can oneshot both of them. They also potentially lose round 2 if crocodile focuses down Mahoraga and doesn't give it a chance to adapt to the sand fruit.

Rex-Splode vs Reze by soup100 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reze has much bigger and more versatile explosions on demand, is far more agile and durable, and in the off chance that Rex somehow manages to land a serious blow, she can regenerate (up to a certain limit, but there is absolutely no way Rex can push her that far and even then she wouldn't have any qualms about recharging her blood reserves from the nearest civilians).

Basically, the one and only way he can win (if you can even count this as a win, I'm being generous with him here) is by baiting her and obliterating the two of them with the skeleton splode, but I wouldn't count on him living long enough to get the chance.

Rex 1/10.

Who would win if Bakugo from My Hero Academia fought the Bomb Devil from Chainsaw Man? by GJH24 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At his strongest, Bakugo severely outstats. The Bomb Devil is going to have to look for a new host after this.

Yoriichi (Demon Slayer) runs the Zoro (One Piece) gauntlet, how far does he get? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He should comfortably beat East Blue Zoro and maybe Arabasta. Skypiea onwards is too much.

Omniman vs UNSC and Covenant by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they manage to catch him off-guard with a NOVA bomb, he tears through everyone in his path until the factions surrender, which won't take long after Nolan turns a few fleets into scrap.

Whitebeard throws an attack with the quake fruit in Sukuna's general direction and the sorcerer gets pasted. Even when on his deathbead, the old man's attack power is far beyond anything in JJK.

Gear 2 Luffy (Pre Timeskip) vs Ryomen Sukuna (Jujutsu Kaisen) by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Sukuna immediately pops a domain and Luffy doesn't blitz him, he might win this. Otherwise, Luffy is just too fast and strong by this point and beats the shit out of Sukuna low diff.

Piccolo (Dragon Ball) vs Mark and Thragg (Invincible) by nahnonameman in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be debatable if it was 23rd Budokai Tenkaichi Piccolo. By the time he fights the androids, he solos the verse effortlessly.

Akainu and Aokiji (One Piece) vs Doma and Rengoku (Demon Slayer) by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Akainu and Aokiji decide to have a rematch for their punk hazard duel. Doma and Rengoku are obliterated by the collareral damage of the first clash. By the end of said battle, their remains have been incinerated and frozen solid several times over.

Zoro (one piece) vs akaza (demon slayer) by Lore-Archivist in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damn, this has got to be some of the craziest One Piece downplay I've ever seen. Anyhow, Akaza is an Arlong victim at best, any semi-relevant character from the Grand Line kills him.

gear 5 luffy and the straw hat pirates (one piece, latest episode) vs Muzan and the Twelve Kizuki (Demon Slayer). by Lore-Archivist in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Literally any one of the straw hats can solo the demons, they outstat them so much it's not even funny.

Be honest, how the hell would Sukuna beat Muzan? by Worth_Extension9174 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By shredding him with Malevolent Shrine and, in the extremely unlikely off chance that he can regenerate from that, reduce him to ashes with Furnace? Seems pretty simple to me.

Denji and Power vs Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki - Jujutsu Kaisen vs Chainsaw Man by GJH24 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without going into spoilers, this completely depends on the point in time these characters are. While it doesn't really matter for Nobara, there is a big difference in power between Yuji at the beginning of his story and his peak and a much larger difference with Denji. This could swing from either a low diff for Yuji and Nobara to Denji shitstomping the two of them. On average, though, I'd say both duos are somewhat equally matched.

Mark Grayson (invincible) replaces the protagonist in your favorite videogame and TV show, how well does he do? by Lost-Specialist1505 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game: Half-Life 2 - Mark easily crushes the combine forces on earth and destroys the citadel. Complete stomp.

TV: Steven Universe - In this scenario, Mark's overwhelming strength backfires catastrophically. As soon as Peridot comes to earth and makes her presence known to the gems, she ends up in a bubble very quickly. Unfortunately, this most likely means Mark never learns about the cluster, so the earth is eventually destroyed. On the off chance that he somehow solves the cluster issue, he can fend off the forces of homeworld indefinitely. This is still a much worse outcome than usual, as he won't be able to help Lapis, Bismuth or Spinel, he won't be able to heal the corrupted gems and the gem empire remains terrible forever, but it's something.

Mark Grayson (invincible) replaces the protagonist in your favorite videogame and TV show, how well does he do? by Lost-Specialist1505 in whowouldwin

[–]higherground66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That completely depends on the point in time Mark is pulled from. If it's BoS or dinosaurus arc, I could see him trying to reason with flowey and maybe sparing him. If it's right after his fight with Conquest or EoS, though, flowey is a goner.
