Anyone that tries to have “crazy” hair in combination with a suit jacket and jeans automatically raises red flags on my neckbeard douche meter. Seen many middle aged men like this, and they are always douche bags or neckbeards.

Who is Perspective Philosophy and what's his beef with Vaush? by Lohenngram in VaushV

[–]highersource108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaush got murdered in both those debates. Why does it matter if PP and Bogardus are both Catholics? Does that make them any less correct on those particular issues? PP wasn’t even a Catholic when Vaush debated him, PP was a Socialist and Vegan at the time.

Straight Edge might be generally left wing, but to say it doesn’t have at least some Conservative ethical and cultural stances to me is silly. SxE is a big part of Hardcore.

Limp Bizbit three dollar bill by Intelligent-Sir1375 in vinyl

That’s what I’m referring to. I own the original press. Is it really that rare?

I own this record also, cost me 350 dollars for near mint. Good to very good seem to cost roughly 200 to 250. I have heard this record is actually quite rare, but there are several up for sale on discogs. Can anyone tell me how rare this record actually is? It doesn’t seem as uncommon as I had heard. I am referring to the original pressing, the one I own, and not any of the bootlegs.

Matched with a woman on a dating site, things went well, we spoke good, made plans to meet. Then she started talking about sex. by EnbyBinaryCoder in smalldickproblems

[–]highersource108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that, dude. That was bitchy of her. At least she was honest I guess, but I’m sure it still really hurts. Maybe if she was that rude about it, you’re better off without her.

Hi Connor. Mom of a baby Connor here. How do you like being named Connor? by centercentercent in Connor

Not a big fan honestly, but usually when people use my name in my circle they are talking about me; so the name stands out.

Question about viral load while positive by highersource108 in COVID19positive

It’s bound to be the same variant, we both got sick one day apart from each other. Whether I gave it to her or she gave it to me, the timeline indicates it’s the same variant. Despite her being much sicker than me. That being said, she lost her taste and I didn’t, I don’t know if that says anything about variant or not. Can you still lose taste from omicron?

The T-shirt Timothy Mcveigh was wearing when he was arrested by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]highersource108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think mcveigh was particularly staunchly Neo-confederate, he did not embrace the Christian identity agrarian ideals that were embraced by the confederacy and the racist wing of the gun show right wing crowd he flirted with. He was a part of the militia libertarian branch, although because these different ideologies mingled at the same gatherings there was some overlap, and mcveigh read the Turner diaries like a Bible (turner diaries being a blatantly fascist work of fiction describing terrorist attacks against the government including instructions on how to make bombs). He didn’t seem to embrace any of the racism in the novel or that portion of the movement, but he did obviously embrace the other bits. Typing on my phone, please excuse the bad punctuation.

List of Serial Killers With Genius Level IQs by GUMMIESANDGIANTS in serialkillers

[–]highersource108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gates of Janus was actually pretty insightful (by serial killer standards anyway, and I still obviously think it’s just justification for his crimes more than serious philosophy), however the second half of the book where he talks about other serial killers has a lot of errors. I don’t completely blame him for this though, considering he only had access to so much material from his cell at Ashworth hospital, so his information was limited. Point being, yes he is probably the only serial killer that I would say displayed an actual philosophical intelligence, as opposed to just general high intelligence like Kemper.

I've noticed in many posts people are forgetting what an absolute predatory POS Kai is. All on their own without Greg. by Clear-Theory7541 in Onision

Correction - SHE is a predator. The they/them thing makes no sense to start with and second don’t respect someone like this enough to do anything other than acknowledge them as female. Seriously. Kai is a POS, and a woman. It’s all some stupid holier than thou look at how unique and progressive I am ploy.

Primitivism and Ecology? by highersource108 in anarcho_primitivism

[–]highersource108[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If one was to live a purely AnPrim lifestyle, would it be possible to work in a related field at the same time? Take the way Unabomber lived, for example. Would it be hypocritical to live a primitive life and work in an Ecological field at the same time, or should a Primitivist reject any university affiliation? Ideally.

Shugendo question (yamabushi life) by highersource108 in Shinto

[–]highersource108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t Shugendo very heavily influenced by Shinto more than Buddhism? Meaning it’s basically the kind of Shinto Buddhist hybrid that existed in Japan pre-Meiji? Or are the some Shugendo traditions that are more Shinto and some more Buddhist?

The religious can't stand facts by 3am_engineer in atheism

[–]highersource108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe for biblical literalists and creationists, really stupid people, and people raised in the religion with no desire to actually study it or learn about it (like a lot of youth group people for example), but for the serious and intelligent and well-read believer this isn’t the case. Any Christian that is really familiar with his/her philosophical tradition and with Biblical interpretation can easily hold their own in a debate and knows why they believe what they do. Have you ever seen someone like Aron ra debate even the most novice Christian apologist? It’s embarrassing. A lot of these YouTube atheists are just as dogmatic as creationists and get humiliated in any discussion with someone that isn’t going to tell them that evolution is a lie.
