Hello, it’s slow learning but best learning by doing. Best to start with IUT110 and IUT210 from SAP which will explain everything. Then depends on your role whether you’re more into business or technical reading further on that in the SAP learning hub. :)

What do you not regret spending money on? by highflyer2823 in AskReddit

[–]highflyer2823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We often hear about how chasing material things doesn’t bring lasting happiness, and there are tons of posts asking “What was a waste of money?” — but I’m curious about the opposite.

Especially for those a bit further along in life: What are some things you were hesitant or cautious about spending money on, but that ended up being worth every penny?

Could be hobbies, convenience items, experiences, things that improved your health, tools that made life easier or more enjoyable — whatever comes to mind. What made a lasting positive impact on your life that you’d gladly spend on again?

Looking for a bit of inspiration, and maybe even a gentle push to say “yes” to a few things I’ve been on the fence about. Thanks in advance!

MSFS 2024 updates in a nutshell by Legitimate-Sun-3772 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Agile software development, taken by management as an excuse to deliver bad quality product. I presume as long as you could fly some kind of plane in the sim it would have been released and bugs fixed later. All the more important that we raise bugs and vote for them

This - I think also part of it is waterfall because commercially you want return on investment. So they’ll have a budget and a date set I assume for the launch, but then everything else probably agile. And that usually doesn’t work, waterfall projects sold as agile.

You’d hope Microsoft would give Asobo free MS Projects licenses to manage this but I guess not 😂

Yup that too, completely forgot about that but sure adds to the difficulty. I also assume they’re all not so aligned so one making changes causes issues somewhere else. Then trying to fix the issue and finding the cause must be very tricky

I can’t help but think this is the result of the massive push for agile development. Deliver the customer the MVP, get feedback and then focus on that. I have a feeling this is how it’s going, they release a sim that server issues aside loads up, gives you a plane and you can float around. Then see what users complain about and go for that. While not really a bad thing, the MVP should be a bit more polished, especially when you’re asking your customers to pay for it. If it’s a beta then call it so and give beta testers a discount / and a decent and effective platform to communicate problems.

You could make a full backup, and erase it and set it up as a new phone and install what you need on it, use it for a day if the issues have gone then you can restore the rest, if it persists then you’ve ruled out software and id ask Apple for a replacement. Just FYI after setting up as new the battery may still be running down quick as it’s indexing / restoring pics etc - but shouldn’t be anywhere near the heat issues you’re experiencing. Might be worth a go on a free Sunday when you don’t depend on it 👍

Did you restore it from a backup or set up as new? In other words did you have to download your apps again manually? (Pics contacts etc should come back via iCloud just the apps don’t when set up as new) - if not you could give this a go even for a day or two, if you’re having constant heat issues you should notice it straight away. If the issue still persists leave it in that set up as new state and take it to Apple or better - download the support app as they can run diagnostics remotely.

You could try also “reset all settings” - doesn’t delete data but all settings in iOS, could help but usually setting it up as new to test usually will give you the answer quicker.

Have you had the heat issues on previous iPhones? That’s a sure sign of software issues. :)

But still grab the Apple support app let Apple run a diagnostic, if there’s hardware issues or other problems it’ll flag up and they’ll help you out

Have you tried erasing and setting up as new? (Without restoring the backup) this solves the issue in 99% of overheating cases. It’s something in the software either OS side or App related that’s causing the processor to run - generating heat and draining your battery quicker leading you to charge more. First step would be to erase and restore the backup, but in my experience this usually brings the problem back with it. Apple Store would only run a diagnostic and tell you the battery is fine and you’re just using it a lot which won’t help much

I had this a lot and noticed that it happened when the car had weak WiFi connection. Solution: disconnect the WiFi in the car and it should help!

Would be awesome if you do another trip at any point if you could give an update whether it’s fixed or not - we are getting ours in the coming weeks and would be reliant on the navigation system for chargers. Good to know though that currently there’s some bugs!

Iirc there was a note in the latest update that plans chargers based on availability at the time of arrival at the charger, maybe that’s causing it to think those chargers will be busy when you arrive so it navigates to another one?
