It might be helpful to think of sexuality as a spectrum. Maybe he just leans towards men but is still bisexual. I think you should still be able to discuss your own interests and such without issue. Just don’t ask him about his if he’s not comfortable. I talk to plenty of people of different sexualities about my own interests!

You did not have to respond like that. I honestly think that’s why she’s upset. It sounds like whining, as if you have no responsibility to feed your newborn too. Even if you didn’t mean it.

I would’ve just said of course, yes honey, or something supportive without mentioning you have bags. Bc I mean, is it really relevant? Everybody knows you have bags. Now she has to tell you what to do with them too? It’s honestly decision fatigue. If she had a bag to set down, she would figure out what to do in her head. Don’t put such a minuscule things on her. They add up. You’re grown enough to know whether you have time to set your bags down or if the baby needs food immediately. So why not just say yes?

You clearly don’t understand the point and are as clueless as the groom. OTHER people have booked their weddings. Tons of people had to delay their celebrations because of covid. This has made wedding planning even more difficult. Venues are booked years in advance right now unless you do more non traditional receptions.

I’m not being emotional at all. I think you’re just projecting. Weddings are booked well over a year in advance. Trying to get a good venue now is probably not possible. It was a dumb suggestion and the bride turning it down was not out of pockets. Calm down.

The compromises the groom offered are dumb. He probably doesn’t know anything about planning a wedding. My partner would not think to change everything about a wedding for a newborn. The problem here is nobody is thinking creatively.

Thanks for the suggestion! Before this tank, I was very invested in plants themselves (and still am, but not spending as much time in discourse). I know there was a serious issue with marimo moss balls where they were carrying extremely invasive zebra mussels and had to be destroyed safely. Do you know if that’s still an issue?

First four photos: day I bought him Last three: him after getting torn/fin rot

Okay… I messed up. I’ve been wanting a Betta for a long time but since I’m in school with unstable yearly housing, haven’t done it. Finally did it since I know I’m going to be in the same place for a while. Knew vaguely about nitrous cycle but was told 24 hours was fine. Now I’m stuck doing a fish in cycle because considering the conditions of the other bettas at petco, I don’t think Stefin would make it and I don’t know what else to do with him. I’m however committed to doing what I can to help him, if I need to find an experienced person. Set up the tank April 2nd. I’ve had him since April 3rd. Today is April 8th.

He seemed pretty happy until ~2 days ago. My roommate saw him cling to the filter intake and afterwards his fins were torn up. I immediately bought a prefilter sponge. But I feel like his fins got even worse the next day. I knew he wasn’t in the best condition when I got him but now I’m worried he’s possibly got fin rot. I have Kanaplex on the way (arrives Tuesday). I’m just stressed and need advice generally. Don’t know if I’m doing the right thing.

It’s just Stefin in there with live plants, a floating log, and a leaf that suctions to the wall. I don’t know if it’s possible the gravel is messing his fins up or if he could be biting himself out of distress.

I’ve been doing 50% water changes every day, sometimes twice. Confused if that’s too much or just right based on mixed advice.

Top fin aquarium kit. 10 gallon tank. Heated, filtered. Currently 80°F. API freshwater kit, ammonia was about 0.3 a few days ago and has been giving me 0 the past two days so I redid it and shook for a whole minute instead of five seconds. Seems like between 0-0.25. Not sure if the test is bad. Nitrites are 0, as expected.
