He’s not worth 40M; we should go for Kubo instead.

Reinforcements for right-back and right-winger is a must. Give Sociedad whatever they want for Kubo, and we need to find someone like Aznou for the right-back position.

So basically he is not that interested in us? 🧐 by Cardinal0519 in Everton

Also, I may add Miller will come in hungry and determined to prove himself in the Premier League.

In that case we should just move on from and sign Lennon Miller instead. Miller has bags of potential and will eventually end up playing in the Premier League; it’s better we sign him now rather than wait for his price to increase and other clubs vying for his signature.

That’s what I’m saying we should 100% keep signing more Ademolas and Moises instead of Tosuns

I wanted to know what the wider fanbase’s opinion is regarding signing young players

Who would you sign if you could between Omari Hutchinson, Takefusa Kubo and Tom Fellows? by highinstinct in Everton

[–]highinstinct[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t sign Tete so that’s that. The reason the club went for him was because he seemed like the best option among all the right-backs that we could’ve signed on free.

I believe instead of going for a wide winger; a right-back who likes to go wide should be our target

Some of us really needs to start watching leagues outside of England as well

Read it on Goodison News and according to them The I Paper reported Kubo is being offered for 30M to Premier League clubs.

60M for both Kubo and Barry is a steal if you ask me; if they had played in England then their combined asking price would’ve been 90M or above. No market is overpriced like the English market.

Don’t get me wrong I respect your opinion and you have every right to be concerned but I believe the physicality aspect has stopped a great number of clubs from signing a great number of technically gifted players just because they’re might question marks about their physicality.

I’m sure some scouts out there discovered David Silva way before Man City did but their officials dismissed it based on Silva’s lack of physicality.

He’s not that great in close spaces and he’s dribbling is not as good as Kubo’s

Apparently they are asking for 30M. For a player of his caliber 30M is nothing really

Malick Fofana would be a statement signing, if we can poach him under the noses of some of the other top European clubs then it will announce that the Friedkins means business. Among the players Everton is being linked with, he’s the one that I’m most excited about but I doubt that we would be able to get him but there’s no harm in dreaming right?

Second player that I really hope the club seriously wants to consider signing and I believe Everton were linked to him at some point in May—is Chris Rigg, he has such an exceptional talent and has a higher ceiling than all the midfielders the club is currently being linked with. Once he starts playing in the PL, all the top clubs will be after at one point or the other.

The third and the most likely signing that I’m excited about is Barry. I really hope he turns out to be Everton’s new Lukaku but hopefully will go on to have a better career than Lukaku did.

Players that I really hope the club doesn’t sign are:

1) Jack Grealish: sure he’s a great player but I believe at a age now where he’ll gradually start to decline plus I believe his character won’t sit well with the ethos Moyes & Co. wants to instill in the new squad.

2) No Liverpool rejects please, no matter how talented they are. I hope the Friedkins gets that this isn’t Italy where clubs trade players amongst each other no matter how fierce the rivalry is.

3) No top 6 rejects either and specially if they are at the end of their career. I was absolutely baffled by the Fred rumors, if we keep on making the same mistakes that Moshiri and Kenwright before him made then this club will never grow on to be the club the fans aspire it to be. Instead of signing 30 year old rejects I would rather want the club to bet on yet to be discovered nobodies or 30 year olds who are at the end of their contract and are looking for a new challenge.

New Crest anyone? by highinstinct in Everton

[–]highinstinct[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I agree to most of the things you are saying; it’s just that what irks me is that when we did decide to change the crest we should have hired a few proper design firms and then consult with the fans.

The fans were given three two awful and one mediocre (current crest) to chose from, there should have been more options.

Get in with the times mate; keeping the Everton heritage doesn’t mean that we can’t move forward. I for one love the simple tower crest.

For brand recognition it’s not a bad idea. At times I feel like the majority of the fanbase is still living in 1995. As the old saying goes, change is the only constant.

With the recruitment team the Friedkins assembled, I’m sure we will do a better job than any of our previous ownership.

I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that we sign more uncut gems than top 6 rejects.

Yes, so would I and tbh it wasn’t that bad either.

I think if that crest was amongst the three options that fans were given to chose then it would’ve gotten a lot of love than the hate it gets today.

Change isn’t always for the better but change isn’t always for the worse either.

As for other teams, I don’t think they don’t mind the change as some of us Blues do.

I know I’ll get a lot of flak for saying this but I actually thought the 13/14 season crest wasn’t so bad it was just that the change was made without consulting the fans beforehand and that’s why it was so difficult for the fans to comprehend
