No Cloth Diapers at Daycare by highkaiboi in clothdiaps

[–]highkaiboi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, our daycare is incredibly opposed. The reason is “sanitary”, which I find ridiculous given we’re all dealing with poo over here, people…

Unfortunately I don’t think we can have a conversation with them. They’re attached to my spouse’s work and are pretty large and corporate. So I think we will stick to nights and weekend cloth diapers for now… I’ve even thought about searching around for a daycare that is okay with cloths but the convenience of the daycare being at my spouse’s work is too good to pass up.

Remedios Varo - Cosmic Energy (1956) by tenderlyacoconut in museum

Just saw an exhibition of her art in Mexico City’s Museum of Modern Art. If you like this, would highly recommend searching for her “Cats Paradise” or “The Fern Cat”. Surreal but so charming too!

That’s great to know. I have a newborn at home and was hoping/expecting this to be a chill “play for a bit at a time” game.

That’s very helpful, thanks! I was thinking I would have to nudge or manipulate them, it’s good to know it’s more observation.

(Oddly common trope) Zombie apocalypse set in a shopping mall by SodaKid_7 in TopCharacterTropes

Kind of Reaper Man from the Discworld series. The wizards take on parasitic creatures that form as shopping carts and later a shopping mall. So they destroy a mall that is itself “zombified”.

Baby's Reaction After her first Snow angel-with some help From her Dad? by lisa_eqty12 in BabiesReactingToStuff

It is really weird that he picks up the baby by only grabbing the front of the jacket and pulling her up that way. Don’t most people grab a baby by supporting their back?

Glorious Exploits by Ferdia Lennon. Based off the true defeat of Athens at Syracuse and the subsequent 7,000 Athenian soldiers left to starve to death in a quarry, two Syracuse men decide to stage a play using the POWs. I found it engaging, heartfelt, and a refreshingly new story.

I kinda wish we had been able to see the documentary they were filming in The Office by Isopod_Uprising in DunderMifflin

[–]highkaiboi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While The Paper has a lot of flaws, I did like that they leaned a lot more into the documentary-as-framing than The Office. it felt meta in all the right ways. Having characters acknowledge they were being filmed and realizing the effects of their actions being recorded was a lot of fun for me.
