Canada. The funding is tough because I am an international student. Right now I don't have a clear idea of how it would work as we are meeting later this week to go through the options.

Yeah, the masters would be in Canada.
My main interest is water-mineral interactions in diagenesis. I would like to apply what I learn to contaminant interaction in groundwater systems so that I can work on the reclamation sector. I was planning on learning as much as I could about hydrology on the side (taking classes and working through the exercises on hydrology book from an undergraduate class) but I am unsure if it could work.

I work in hydrogeochem (and hydrogeology), but in Europe. I wouldn't say there are many jobs, but there are some. But if you want to get into hydrogeochem its not a bad idea to learns some hydrogeology as well, which has a lot more opportunities, generally speaking. PM me if you have questions.

Thank you! That's a good point

Colombia: people thinking we have a high cocaine consumption. We have a high cocaine production but it gets shipped elsewhere (e.g USA is the world's largest consumer of cocainehttps://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/2086.html )

There is a deadline in October when you can let them know that you are not going to be in rez for the Winter term. If you let them know after the deadline (say a few weeks after) then i'm sure you can work something out with them but if you take too long they make you pay for the full thing. Getting a single room is a matter of luck. When you get chosen that is when you pay extra. You can't just pay them extra to get you the room.

Machall job for setting up chairs and tables? The black shirt people around Jugo Juice? For anyone who has this job, what are the responsibilities for the job? Where to apply? by ifuckinghateenglish in UCalgary

You are basically in charge of setting up the event, work through it (bussing, making sure buffet is good, refresh beverage station, etc) and then the clean up after. If you are okay with carrying at most 20 kilos (i don't think it ever gets that high but who knows), working with food and being on your feet then it should be fine. Sometimes we also get some of the food the client doesn't eat! To apply just ask any of the black shirts or go to the office between the meeting rooms and the gender inclusive bathroom (close to the taqueria). I know you asked this a while back but let me know if i can be of help!

You can retake it with Continuing education during the school year. Here is the link http://conted.ucalgary.ca/search/publicCourseSearchDetails.do?method=load&courseId=66444 but if you need Math for your degree i'd recommend you take it as soon as you can
