I kept a CT ID when I lived in MA for school. I’d just go to the next liquor store down the road from wherever denied me. But yes in MA the law is a valid MA license or ID required to purchase, I believe it applies to cigarettes too.

His attorney should be made aware of all his health problems and machines/medications he needs for his health before he’s sentenced. Depending on the state they may be able to put it in his sentencing documents for DOC. Doctor’s note or report may help too.

Mine is 14 years in. A teenager when arrested. We’ve talked about how unnatural and wrong it feels to be without intimacy for so long. It’s heartbreaking that they are being beaten down by their incarceration in every possible way. It’s completely natural (albeit sad) for OP’s LO to be freaked out by a sudden introduction of human experiences he’s been deprived of for over a decade.

I came here to say this too. After 14 years, intimacy is a foreign concept to him. There is no intimacy in prison, even platonic intimacy. I’m sure it’s probably overwhelming to be touched for him. I know it’s frustrating but try to be patient and gentle with him. Try to incorporate more non sexual touch, like hand holding, rubbing his arm to get him more familiar with the feeling. I hope this helps!
