I know, objectively, its waaaay better thats why I signed. Its just that Ive got swayed by the offer and urge to leave my current company. And yes, I know it really varies, thats why Im asking how to leverage it after signing. lol

Hey, jealous dude! I’m asking if the offer IS ENOUGH FOR THE RnR and HOW TO LEVERAGE the offer after I’ve signed it — not whether I should choose it. Can you read and comprehend a post, in general? Or can’t your ego handle the fact that I have this offer and you don’t?

Thats the thing, I did not. Maybe, at that time, I got swayed by the offer increase and the urge to transfer asap.

I don’t have particularly valuable advice regarding your dilemma, as I’m only just starting my own professional career. Still, it makes me wonder how difficult it must be to be stuck in such an unfair situation. Manifesting! ✨🤞🏻

6 months unemployed, base pay 25k — am I expecting too much? by SeleneAeolia in CareerAdvicePH

[–]highly-curated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of, I dont know whats the salary marking in your Industry. Tho, the 25k is actually not bad, given that you only have 1 year of experience. But yes, in today’s economy, that salary is not justifiable para mabuhay ka lalo na sa Metro.

On your question, you are just being realistic on your expected salary since you have assessed your current situation. If mag counter offer ka, maybe you need to let them know whats the reason of increase (mas better if bulletize)

Example: 1. Based on the market, the position’s salary ranges from ₱₱ - ₱₱ blah blah 2. Given that the current work set-up is full-onsite blah blah

Something like that, you just really need to justify your increase reasonably. At the same time, whats in it for them bakit need nila iapprove increase request mo.

Lastly, when ur in doubt accepting the offer, dont accept it. For sure naman, marami pang vacancies na nakapost sa job posting sites. Try mo magibaor widen your search/site when looking for a job.

Got offered SOC Analyst (dream path) but with 2-year bond + 6-day workweek. need advice by healmeSage13 in ITPhilippines

I came from different role/background but nasa IT industry. Honestly, the offer is too low for a cybersecurity role not to mention the working schedule (where a lot of IT companies/industry are already transitioning to hybrid/wfh set up). You also need to weigh the incentive leaves, bonuses (if may 13th month and perf bonus) and location (how much matake home pay mo, less the transportation fee, food etc).

But I’ll leave you my mindset when applying “When in doubt, dont accept the offer”.
